Why are southern states extremely conservative while being the poorest as well? Dont they hurt themselves by voting republican ? Since the republican party is known for cutting social benefits.

you know, i've been thinking... these polls don't mean shyt... walker (governor of wisconsin), christie (governor of nj), jindal (governor of lousiana), and brownback (governor of kansas), all had shytty poll numbers and easily cruised to reelection.... walker won three elections and his numbers are toiletry numbers.... if dems keep making the mistakes of depending on poll numbers instead of digging into how the reps pull off these victories, the dems might become the dinosaur party.....

they need to push turnout and fight against voter suppression as well... right now dems are going with the moronic argument that trump's ego is so fragile that he can't deal with the fact that hillary got 3M more votes than him... no, he can deal with that fact... that's why he started the voter integrity commission, to stop that from happening again.... dems need to fight against that... politically, legally, through education... whatever means necessary... simply calling trump names won't cut it....

Most people are only programmed for general presidential elections. Local and state elections always fly under the radar unless it's some national headlines surrounding it.
