Sorry, I've taken my fair share of Math and Science courses to know this is one of the worst "theories" of all-time.
This isn't a "theory" anymore it just outright doesn't work. It's had 40 years to prove it does something positive but it's only done damage and now is the time to kill it.
Should be in the Opposite Nobel Prize Hall of Fame for one of the worst ideas of all-time.

It's virtually impossible to have intermediate and complex manufacturing all within the US. The prices wouldn't be competitive.
