The CFPB costs $800M a year but has forced banks, payday lenders, and credit card companies to return $21 BILLION they stole from consumers. And now Elon Musk—who wants to turn your Social Security into Dogecoin—says he’s going to kill it.Meanwhile, Trump’s approval rating is going UP?!This country is speed-running collapse.

@Nazani@universeodon.com
@flexghost I'm starting to think the people who use cash only & bury coins in mason jars may be right. Reduced banking regulations, SEC hamstrung, foreign hackers welcome to our easy-to-access data.

3/39
@flexghost
@Nazani honestly I don’t understand why people don’t get on Twitter and before a racist Nazi rant give all of their personal information to everyone out in the public including musk

4/39
@peteorrall
@flexghost #Trump and #Musk are driving the #unitedstates into the ground at terminal velocity and millions of #americans are totally onboard with this. After all, they gave #DirtbagDon their ultimate support on November 5th.

5/39
@flexghost
@peteorrall i’m thinking of that photo of Reagan and a bunch of banking giants laughing their ass off… Here is Trump ready with an incredibly well prepared army to steal the election and ruin the country but people not only voted him in but also are applauding the speed run at the end

6/39
@peteorrall
@flexghost I agree. The Republican party is a corporate-funded systematic oppression and death cult, which also happens to meddle in some politics.What's so disturbing is millions of Americans support these so-called politicians. Like, what the hell?

7/39
@flexghost
@peteorrall If we want to be free from corporate death cults we need younger better Dems too

8/39
@peteorrall
@flexghost Yes, the Dinosaur Dems need to go.

9/39
@UlrikNyman
@peteorrall @flexghost you need more than two parties.You need election reform.Maybe you need a revolution Maybe the USA will nor survive this?Maybe this will be a good thing

10/39
@peteorrall
@UlrikNyman @flexghost We need a lot of things, including getting corporations and big money out of politics. The politicians and judges have been bought and paid for a long time ago.

11/39
@ATLeagle@mastodon.online
@flexghost I'm not brave enough to watch any of the propaganda news feeds to try to understand how this is being sold and the bad parts ignored. We have watched it happen for years, so I'm certain the approval is based on selected info. ***Not excusing the idiots for not knowing how to find information***

12/39
@flexghost
@ATLeagle you already know what right wing media is going to say what is really infuriating is the rest of the media is saying it as well

13/39
@beisbolcards@mastodon.world
@flexghost @ATLeagle I'm (thankfully) outside the US and the media here seems to rely on American MSM sources, so it makes trump look like he is doing a lot of somewhat good things and not dismantling a country.

14/39
@ATLeagle@mastodon.online
@beisbolcards @flexghost not surprised , but still sad

15/39
@Basmitharts@weird.autos
@flexghost Allowing fascists to control all the means of communication might have been a fatal mistake, but I find a little hope in the fact that these guys are trying to do this illegally and in secret. They know their agenda is unpopular and are desperate to take permanent control before people wise up. We just need to slow them down.

16/39
@passwordsarehard4
@Basmitharts @flexghost they know people say they disagree but are willing to look the other way when it’s being done. We’ll just close our eyes and eat our sausage. Democracy’s nasty little secret is that it only works when the stupid don’t participate. The stupid always outnumber the smart, they can’t be given an equal voice and have society progress. They weaponized ignorance.

17/39
@bhasic
@flexghost Trump could stand in the middle of Fifth Avenue and shoot somebody, and his approval rating would go up.

18/39
@capriciousday
@flexghost > , Trump’s approval rating is going UP?!Are we sure the pollsters are outside the influence of government at this point? Just... asking for a friend.

19/39
@manvsxerox@mindly.social
@capriciousday @flexghost I want to ask this with the phrase, up how much? My honest guess is that polls are a lagging indicator, so the most recent news for the polls is when Trump stopped the tarriffs by getting no played by Canada and Mexico. So that's probably why its up.

20/39
@jelgato@mastodon.world
@flexghost Biden's policy of failing to prosecute his predecessor was tantamount to what aviators would call a 'graveyard spiral' a decent so gentle that it goes unchecked and unnoticed until you hit the ground. Under 47, we've tilted the nose of the plane down 180 degrees, kicked on the afterburners, and are blaring "Rock You Like a Hurricane" as we hurtle towards our #Doom

21/39
@phil@social.kern.pm
@jelgato @flexghost That's rewriting history. Biden's failure to stack the Supreme Court. Or the root: Democrats' unwillingness to appoint a judge under Obama against the Republican filibuster.

22/39
@joe@beige.party
@phil @jelgato @flexghost You mean the failure to stand up FOR Garland when it mattered?

23/39
@flexghost
@jelgato “uhhhh they learned their lesson we need to think about decorum over the needs of the people”

24/39
@ASprinkleofSage
@flexghost if you fukk around in an exponential series and never stop then technically you never fully find out

25/39
@madduci
@flexghost thankfully, I don't live in US. There's an ongoing shytshow

26/39
@von@social.lol
@madduci @flexghost have to worry about the rise of the right in Europe too, again, sigh.

27/39
@madduci
@von @flexghost yes, me too

28/39
@Lizette603_23
@flexghost ugly little prick isn't he?

29/39
@koen_hufkens
@flexghost When the leopards are eating the faces of the people who make these ratings go up, it will be too late. They will be angry, "they didn't see it coming", they will feel "powerless", and concede under pressure of propaganda, shame and and state violence. I will tell you that much.

30/39
@flexghost
@koen_hufkens ….again

31/39
@ngrbdx
@flexghost it is going up? Not surprised, people does not understand that it is extremely easy to break something and it gave the impression that he is doing things. Building things it is tough really tough and the American people who vote for it will understand it too late or ... never. Look at the russian they are still supporting Poutine...

32/39
@flexghost
@ngrbdx that’s where we’re at

33/39
@del_lewis
@flexghost the picture says it all sig heil or however it's spelled means DICTATOR!

34/39
@manvsxerox@mindly.social
@flexghost also, as non-fascists, we need to top panicking at polls. They clearly mean nothing. Besides after the protests, it would make sense that #Doomald and his #Cult45 would flood the polls.

35/39
@mrmartye
@flexghost Where are you seeing that Trump’s approval rating is going up, because I missed that.

36/39
@suzka@mstdn.social
@flexghost @femme_mal I myself have used CFPB to get money back from FEVER and 2 other fraudulent companies in the last 10 years.

37/39
@pamela237
@flexghost I won't let that happen to me

38/39
@chris@social.uggs.io
@flexghost One of Trumps promises was "After this election I will make sure the American people need never to vote again". (Trump Told Crowd 'You Won't Have to Vote Anymore' in 4 Years? etc).Zee path is laid for zee Fuhrer!

39/39
@flexghost
@chris He literally said what he would do; he’s doing it; responsible parties are not being responsible

His approval is going up because most Americans have no fukking clue what's going on and corporate media (besides MSNBC) is purposely not educating people about it. America is in a collective spiral of delusion and ignorance. We're being stripped of every protection left and right and our primary concern is who'll win in the Super Bowl and the Halftime performance. A rational society would be in the streets with pitchforks if the richest man in the world had the audacity to cut government programs that protected them.

People's distractions are still free or cheap. If youtube stops working properly, Instagram, Facebook, etc. Stop working properly and streaming services raise prices beyond what people are willing to pay, they won't have any choice BUT to reflect on what has become of their lives. You have nothing to distract you with or turn your brain off and you'll have to be confronted with the fact that your life is far worse than it was before.

The key thing is timing. That feeling has to set in while trump is in office. He's making decisions and cant hide or pretend it's someone else when he's in the media 24/7. The buck stops with nobody else but him.

Democrats are controlled opposition, but they're even worse now so they can't be blamed because you got hakeem jeffries saying shyt like "presidents come and go" when people are afraid they may lose their medicare.

The average American voter showed the world that yes, it is in fact possible to fail an open book test. Had trump lost, his tax cuts would expire. Billions of dollars would start flowing back in to the government to fund the same programs he's trying to eliminate.

this world aint shyt man. im so tired all the damn time
Don’t do that!

It sounds cliché but our ancestors survived worse.

We are going to be fine. It might get tough, but we are here and this is our time to fight.

White Supremacy will always try, and it’s on us to push back and say “not today”.

Don’t fall back on your goals and resolutions because of these times. That’s what they WANT us to do.

Mental fortitude is needed now more than ever.

Don’t even give them the satiation of seeing you sweat or give up.

Crypto pushers love the idea of killing the CFPB cause it's the only agency so far with any teeth to fight scammers.

Brian Armstrong is the CEO of Coinbase and those screenshots are of from people who were scammed on his platform but then got made whole by filing a CFPB complaint.

Setting the stage for a new deal style politician to run on basically fixing the country after this idiot and the class he represents broke it.

We are about to find out what it's like to live in the 1930s again.
Lol Hakeem Jeffries just fellated some tech bros. Going to take a looot of work for that to come from the Dems who seem hell bent on purposely not learning anything.

We have 4 long years of chaos, unprecedented corruption, and suffering ahead of us. The Dems, along with the rest of America will look completely different. Things will be much more extreme and dire. Dems will have no choice but to adapt their positions.
