They have been arresting drug dealers pretty steady since the 1980's. Reagan's war on drugs have been one of the worst policy decisions in the history of this country, because it just caused prison numbers to swell and it destroyed black families. As for losing jobs; black people have been losing jobs and/or having wage declines for decades. That is why white people (conservative republicans) allowed illegal immigration into this country for decades. They claimed that the illegal immigrants were only coming into this country to do the jobs that black people wouldn't do. That was conservative republicans mantra and Reagan even naturalized millions of illegal immigrants back in the 1980's.

What eventually happened though is that companies started hiring illegal immigrants to take jobs that companies were paying middle class whites to do, especially in the building trades and in manufacturing plants. White folks that adored Reagan finally figured out that they had been played. Now those same Reagan loving white folks are mad at the Hispanics that were bought into the USA to take their jobs. And the democrats now see the illegals as voters, which is just pissing the republicans off even more. So the chickens that the crackas sent out are now coming home to roost.
