It's more of an attack on their liberal government which will probably get out voted next year anyways. Trumps spiel has been that there is an imbalance between their exports vs imports. The thing is China has the rest of the world they can do business with. There's methods to defeat the purpose of tariffs. One of them is devaluation of currency which you already see happening throughout the world as a result of US threatening tariffs and trade sanctions.

The dollar is already way up as it is. It will go up further which will help me and anyone that makes dollars and spends Pesos it will make american shyt even less attractive to buy overseas.

The airports and Fed Ex is gonna make a grip off of me as I buy more US shyt here and have it sent to Colombia.

Colombian consumers are gonna buy even more chinese made shyt.

America has been producing a lot of oil but again Canada is an american market if they shifted to buying european and chinese that’s even less people for the US to sell to.

If the Uke war ends all that Uke grain comes back on the market and the Middle East and Africa doesn’t need US grain either and since Trump would be opposed to giving it away and against ethanol the farm states are gonna feel it.
