READ THE ARTICLE.

THEY TRIED AND WERE UNABLE TO BECAUSE OBAMA COULD NOT GET CONGRESS TO PASS IMMIGRATION REFORM THAT WOULD MAKE IT EASIER SO INSTEAD CERTAIN STATES LET THEM SEEK NATURALIZATION IF THEY WERE ELLIGIBLE!

REPUBLICANS STOOD IN THE WAY OF FIXING THIS

NOW THEY CAN'T APPLY BECAUSE TRUMP IS REMOVING TPS!

THE ARTICLE ADDRESSES THIS. I LITERALLY HIGHLIGHTED IT FOR YOUR ASS.

You know if you make your font bigger...it doesn't make people read it...:yeshrug:

It's really crazy to think about how tens of millions of ppl crossed the border illegally and as a result have become the country's largest minority group, have surpassed AAs in college enrollment, have surpassed AAs in household income, have surpassed AAs in business ownership. All that off the backs of undocumented people.
The coli has called me crazy for talking about this for years.

At some point people are going to have to grapple with these facts

YEAH, THATS NOT "UNDOCUMENTED" IDIOT.

I don't think you know what these words means.

These people are legal residents who the government knows everything about

Temporary protected status is typically designated for between 6 and 18 months at a time for each country; once that time is up, the status expires and its beneficiaries revert to the same immigration status they maintained before temporary protected status (unless that status had since expired). Accordingly, if an immigrant did not have lawful status prior to receiving temporary protected status and did not obtain any other lawful status during the designation of temporary protected status, the person reverts to unlawful status upon the expiration of that designation of temporary protected status.[25]

Truly disgusting. And the truth is Republicans don't really give a fukk about the illegal immigration problem because they could stop it dead in its tracks by going after the businesses that higher them hard and relentlessly. Both parties want those roaches here. And actual black citizens suffer for it.

Those people have, quite literally, Temporary Status. The only reason why I'm concerned about this is because of what's happening in Haiti right now. The US is expiring their status, sending them back to Haiti, and the US is actively supporting the regime currently killing Haitian citizens in Haiti. That's worrisome and I'd argue unusual and cruel.

Or maybe, just maybe they are compassionate and believe in doing what’s morally fair and just.

:dwillhuh:
Dems are wrong on the immigration issue. Period. Most liberals don't even want open borders anyway just easier immigration laws, but even that is misguided when our house is burning. Mexico heavily enforces its own immigration policies. They deport Hatians like crazy, and there are even cases where they have deported black Mexican citizens. fukk them. Any black person caping for Mexicans is delusional. They come here in droves, and make it so that even basic jobs require you to speak Spanish. Then after a generation or two they try to blend into white America. When they get into positions of power they heavily discriminate against black people and lock us out of industries that we could potentially thrive in. In short they are tan white supremacists.

:dwillhuh:

No what would be morally fair and just is free public college education, universal healthcare, and the like...for citizens of the country....

Not always going around the world fukking up other people's countries and etc and then invite them here...:rudy:

Most Americans don't a give fukk about any of this extra shyt...

If the USA never fukked with Haiti...they wouldn't be coming over here...

If the USA never fukked with Latin America...they wouldn't be coming over here...

The USA ain't Mother Theresa and it don't owe nobody shyt besides its citizens...

Politics isn't about morality...or doing the right thing...

It's about survival and power...and resources are finite...

Democrats just refuse to actually offer this country anything of value and too busy playing bleeding heart liberal...

"Oh what about the immigrants..."

"Oh what about the trans-gendered children..."

"Oh what about the women in the Middle East..."

Period.

What sense does this make...

You can't have power and control without exclusion of outside forces...

What kind of world can exist without borders...

Like...for example...

I am hate gentrification...

Being anti-gentrification requires a concept of ownership and a concept of BORDERS....

I don't want White yuppies just being able to go around Urban America and putting their fukking coffee shops...

Even to have communism and socialism you are gonna need National Self-Determination and a concept of borders...

This would be useful if you learned to read the goddamn article.

Temporary protected status was created as part of the Immigration Act of 1990 and was first granted to migrants from El Salvador who were fleeing the country’s civil war. Today, there are 10 countries with TPS, including Honduras, Somalia, and Nepal. Haitians were included in the program in 2010, when a 7.1 magnitude earthquake struck outside the Haitian capital of Port-au-Prince, impacting its 2.8 million residents. The quake leveled buildings, killed tens of thousands of people, and left more than 1 million people displaced—damage that is still present today. The Obama administration granted Haitian nationals temporary protected status in 2010.

Destin came to the United States in 2000, well before the special status was granted. She filed for asylum but was denied and told to go back to Haiti. “The first 10 years were hard,” she says of her time as an undocumented immigrant. When the Obama administration granted TPS to Haitians, Destin and many others took advantage of the chance to emerge from the shadows. The Obama administration regularly renewed the special status in 18-month intervals.

...

When stopping TPS status for Haitians was first announced in November 2017, the Congressional Black Caucus, which includes Florida Democratic representatives Frederica Wilson and Val Demings, wrote a letter to DHS asking the agency to extend TPS for another 18 months. In February, Rep. Bobby Rush (D-Ill.) introduced a bill that sought to prohibit the use of federal funds to implement the policy changes in the notices that terminate TPS for Haitians and other recipients.
But unlike the international headlines that appeared following the Trump administration’s attempt to ban people from Muslim countries traveling to the country or its family separation policy at the border, the plight of TPS recipients did not attract widespread attention outside of immigrant communities and their advocates.

Dude. WTF is wrong with you?
