Norfeast groovin…
Hes completely speculation pilled. He thinks it's a problem that America imports more than it exports.

He doesn't care that the imports are regular people wanting products they can afford. Wants America to export more than it imports and that is an arrangement that works for people like him who want to own the means of production.

He believes the economy isn't propped up by consumer demand, but by stock prices. If he tanks the market only the richest companies(which he will expand his stake in) will survive and then in his mind if america becomes an exporter making goods for countries that have lower income inequality and an appetite for affordable products, companies like Amazon will reap the benefits and so will he by extension because the shares will go up in value.

His supporters are alligned with him because they genuinely believe that he is going to make it so employers can hook them up with manufacturing jobs that will pay well. They are seeing an attempt to live up to his promises and that fact alone is enough to give them faith in him. They don't understand that a company wouldn't hire them for good wages because that costs them money. Labor is a cost and the goal of a company is to cut costs and make profit for its shareholders.

He said he'd get rid of the immigrants and he's doing it by basically ignoring the constitution and turning ice into a gestapo. He said he's going to bring manufacturing back but he's doing it by annihilating the buying power of the middle and working class.

Americans are really being exposed as stupid, spineless, overly entertained and propagandized chumps and suckers that can get finessed with relative ease.

Thinking back on all the times I’ve heard people proudly talk about how they did poorly in school or laugh hysterically at the thought of reading a book or watching the news to inform themselves this all comes as no surprise. Outside of Black folks, Americans traveling abroad gon prolly be looked at as jokes now.

I am glad the govt isn't letting us travel. I feel stupid representing the USG right now to many of our partners. First time I ever felt serious shame at being an American.

Great video, released today:

Step 1: Tariff Chaos (current step)
- Don’t care about economy tanking or stock market crashing. A lot of tariffs to create negotiating leverage with other countries. For the rest of the plan.

Step 2: Reciprocal Tariffs
- Countries who import from other countries like China then sell to us, won’t find it profitable anymore because of tariffs from Step 1.

Step 3: a Mar-a-Lago accord (hypothesis: weaken the dollar while at the same time keeping it as the world currency)
- Countries opt in to an agreement with the U.S for their currency to back the dollar so that if the dollar strengthens the countries will pick up for it in return for military protection and consumer market.

This really sounds like the MAGA plan.

We’re screwed. Nobody trusts us. If it’s anything like what we showed the Ukraine, why would a country think we won’t switch up on them every few four years? Turning back on allies economically as well.

shyt, imagine paying all that money for U.S military protection all for us to walk it back or for another country to come out with game changer tech.

It’ll most likely end how the video states: relying on other countries (Mexico, Japan, etc.) for their manufacturing.

The Fart of the Deal.

This is it

I've been trying to verbalize this over the last day but I haven't really completed my thoughts on it. Basically I think Trump admires how Putin runs Russia and also likes the idea of how Putin controls his oligarchs. The blanket tarriffs sets up a pathway for corporations to beg Trump for relief.

Really interested to see what’s the long term plan here. Moving manufacturing back here will take years. If a Democrat wins the White House in 2028 I can see some of these tariffs being rolled back but not all of them. The government needs the money.
It definitely looks like a shakedown of consumers and some businesses to plug the deficit. Because they don't want to tax Corporations directly. And at the same time slowdown the rise of other countries. Unless they pay some kind of protection fee against the tariffs.

The US insane cost of living has to be reduced to bring back any meaningful amount of jobs from overseas. But that would require getting control of Government spending first.

I watched the entire video on the train home. He basically admits the plan is good, and created by smart people, but the entire plan will be based on trust with the US.

For reference, the Saudis are some of the richest people on the planet. They’d blow half the planet up to get US security guarantees. Regardless of who the president is.

I think if the market can hold, Trump wins :hubie:

Europeans when they saw that an applicant graduated from an American university in the past: :myman:

If the world assumes that america is full of morons, that makes them think that our standards are not high enough and they should not be given high paying jobs. It's like how the guy driving a cab was a heart surgeon somewhere in Latin America or Africa but that shyt doesn't count here in America so he has to take any job that can hire him to survive. Americans will be looked at the same way if they apply for jobs in other parts of the world that are wealthy.
