Most “classy” people would have made a sharp u-turn at the entrance if they walked inside a restaurant and heard that type of music playing.

Twerking at a restaurant is deplorable behavior no matter what. But what kinda clientele did dude really expect to attract by hiring a dj :patrice:
you don't see peple waltzing at high-end restaurants with classical playing do you?

so why the fukk is she bussing down just because hip-hop is playing?

get the picture?

it's an eatery not dance studio or dance club.

Not even Ruth Chris, try Red Lobster :skip:

Sad that shyt even needs to be said, but when you raised by bird behavior, you repeat it.

Why are nikkas comparing this to Ruth’s Chris and Red Lobster???

Dude created a flyer prominently featuring the DJ with bottles of champagne. Patrons show up to party music (played at damn near party levels) and y’all acting confused that SOME started dancing??

Have y’all been out in the last decade? Party “brunches” been popping for a minute now.

I seriously doubt the type of shyt that was going down that warranted him making that speech was typical of what he's always done in that setup.

You don’t “waltz” to classical music :martin:

Classical music is literally made for you to sit down and be quiet to enjoy. Which is why it’s played in establishment where people are supposed to sit down and enjoy the atmosphere.

Club/Party music is made for dancing. The song literally was saying “throw that ass in a circle” as dude told them to turn the music down:mjlol:

If dude wants it to be an eatery, he should quit advertising it like a club.

Allow me to clarify.

This applies to dine-in Black restaurants.

Unless the spot has a cult following for some other reason (unique dish, celebrity owner, etc.), it will have to eventually appeal to the party crowd to keep traffic flowing in.
A DJ is a necessity at a dine-in restaurant catering to black clientele? I can think of a number of successful black owned restaurants that don’t have DJs. You should expect more of our people.
My bad I just saw the first page. Didnt know the nikka had a DJ and music playing. Yea then he pretty much asked for twerking.:manny:

Do you think non-black clientele would take that music as a sign it’s ok to climb onto a table and twerk? I don’t.

Nah, people are saying that there are plenty of restaurants and lounges that host “brunches” that are meant to turn up. Thus by creating a similar atmosphere at his restaurant, it’s understandable that some patrons thought they were at a turn up. If he didn’t want them to dance he could’ve just asked them to stop. There was no need to berate them so publicly and offensively.

For example, there are some establishments that don’t mind if patrons stand on the furniture, and others that do. If you happen to stand on the furniture at an establishment that doesn’t want people standing on the furniture, an employee will just come by and ask/tell you to get down. There’s no lecture, just establishing the rules.
What restaurant allows patrons to stand on furniture?

Saddest thing about all this is those people are gonna go out of their way to get that business shut down for good, or get his spot robbed as retaliation. Something you never see them do when a video of a white establishment racially profiling them goes viral :francis:

Black people will gang up on another black person they dont agree with like their life depends on it. :francis:
