Unless they were doing shyt that went beyond what is typical at brunch turn up spots, then he over reacted and was unnecessarily rude to his patrons. He’s the owner and can establish any set of rules he wants, but there was no need to lecture them as if they were doing this at a Ruth’s Chris or Red Lobster. He created that atmosphere via his promotion and by having the DJ blaring music. He wanted to steal some of that turnup business without getting any of the turnup headaches...which is fine, but don’t belittle people who just thought they were at another turnup spot.
name any sit-down eatery where it's okay for everyone to get up and start twerking, much less dancing.....i'll wait.

imagine all the patrons dancing....how in the fuk is any food gonna be safely delivered to customers?

Cacs wouldn't tolerate that shyt in a place that supposed to be or trying to be high end though. We gotta keep it funky about that.
Wouldn’t tolerate? Sure

Would stand up in the middle of the room say “white people cant have nice things” and tell them Get The fukk Out.

nah, they wouldn’t do that:smh:

Yeah, that's a grown azz adult. She should know better than to hop on furniture and twerk. These kind of videos are a daily reminder that not everybody has common sense.

Bruh's delivery was a lil off. Address that lady and let the DJ put out a PSA. Also, change the records being played, not because some folks can't control themselves but the mere fact of having lively songs when you're trying to eat. Idk about yall but I don't want to hear "No Hands" , "Body", "Throw that azz in a circle" or "Back That Azz Up" in what's supposed to be an upscale restaurant. Play some R&B and the occasional Rap song.

His point is that if you wanna make the argument that you're easily controlled by music then that (lack of)logic should apply across the board
It’s not about being “easily controlled”

twerking in itself is not a bad thing.

Twerking in a place that’s serving drinks and playing twerk music is probably the best place to twerk.

Dude literally created a twerk atmosphere and then got mad when the twerking started.

so you saying BW and yourself can't listen to particular music w/o losing it?

So the onus is on the owner and not the patron to act with some common decency. And this Texas
Bruh. If he was serving drug infused you know how quick Dallas PD would be in that jawn?

the way some of y’all think of black folks is super low. We apparently can’t go to a spot and hear Fivio or 21 and not just enjoy the music without being performative

The environment was ghetto passing off as upscale and people acted as such. Keep trying to say “if it were a white place...”. A white so-called upscale place wouldn’t play rock or heavy metal music, you’re getting elevator music.

people on twitter and IG are saying that if the owner plays twerk music that people are going to twerk and that should be expected. so if the owner played drill music it would be ok to shoot the place up, no?
Twerking is harmless.
Shooting kills people.

My man is trying to hard to be a victim. The restaurant playing twerk anthems loud as hell and he mad that people actually started twerking? That's weird to me.
Right!! At what point is “throw that ass in a circle” as a song is anymore appropriate for families than people twerking to it?

So you need to act like the environment you’re in?

I get that and respect it. I'm just wondering if he was overreacting or if they were by taking offense. Hard to know without the context of the "twerking" in question.

He did overreact a bit. But he set the framework of what he wants his restaurant to be.

And what happens when facebook vids etc start rolling out with ppl twerking and act ass in his restaurant. Now his restaurant gets a bad rep.
