Hopefully Pizzolatto got his shyt together.

He tried too much in the second season, too many points of view and different characters made it very convoluted. It should be Mahershela and a good second character with a bunch of minor characters in between.

The problem was the show was rushed.

He took a long time with the first season. He waited until it was perfected.


The hate for season 2 is completely hyperbolic,theres some good stuff in there. It just needed more time in the oven. Couple rewrites at minimum. Trim the fat and clean up the dialogue.

I think they realized the mistake of rushing the 2nd season and won't make the same mistake again.

They also should have used 1 director again.

If this happens I'll end up giving this show the second shot I never thought I would give it. The second season

While I appreciated the David Lynch elements it had, season 2 was like blue balls to the heart. Thankfully at the time, Ballers came on right after and provided the much needed eye bleach.

the second season had too much shyt. Could have divided the ideas in the second season into two separate seasons. Dude has had 2 years to get it together tho.. so..

Why do they even need to bring back Pizzolatto? They should get a new show runner each season.
