I can't believe we're only a month away from the premiere. And the two hour premiere is interesting to me, there's a reason they're doing this and its got my mind going places. Something pivotal bout to happen.

Alamo Drafthouse and HBO are proud to present the first two episodes of TRUE DETECTIVE Season 3, playing exclusively for fans at Alamo Drafthouse locations on Tuesday, December 18th, nearly a month before it premieres on HBO. Tickets to this one-night-only event are free with a $5 food and beverage voucher purchase.

The new season tells the story of a macabre crime in the heart of the Ozarks, and a mystery that deepens over decades and plays out in three separate time periods. Mahershala Ali stars as Wayne Hays, a state police detective from Northwest Arkansas. Carmen Ejogo and Stephen Dorff also star. Created by Nic Pizzolatto.

Eighteen Alamo Drafthouse locations across the country are participating in the event. Tickets can be purchased at drafthouse.com.
