Show me a role where DDL played a character that is 'normal' and was completely able to suck you in to the performance. DDL is cakin off of characters that naturally transform him out of his real life persona. What McGawdYahweh did here in True Detective is more impressive to me than Hey Blinkin or the comical Gangs of New York.

Seriously though...show me a role, Im not very knowledegable about DDL's work I wanna see something

I never saw my left foot but he did put his foot in the ass of there will be blood.

My mom been on his dikk since I was a kid. I seem to recall a VHS of the 'the unbearable lightness of being" in our racks but never watched it.

Actually I was legitimately asking for a role that displayed his acting chops, I dont know of any other than his Oscar roles which to me arent as impressive as Matts because they naturally take you out your real life persona

Trolling aside, I'm not really familiar with his work either because I really have no interest in a lot of the movies he's in.

Gangs of New York by itself is a horrendously mediocre movie saved by an incredible performance by Day Lewis.

Last of the Mohicans he was pretty good. There Will Be Blood is a boring ass movie, but he was similarly incredible in that movie as he was in Gangs of New York.

I've never seen Abraham Lincoln and have no interest in watching it. Never saw My Left Foot, but I did see the Crucible remake he was in; he was pretty good.

I don't like to criticize actors' abilities based on the roles they're cast in. I think that's unfair.

Daniel Day is an incredible actor. Matthew McCougnaghey (sic) is an incredible actor.

Matt has just been more choosy lately with his roles and he's had the fortune of being an integral part of some incredible projects.

He'll be the flavor of the month for a little while longer if keeps being selective.

Dallas Buyers CLub was a solid movie overall, and True Detective was an incredible project.

If anything, I think Daniel Day's ability to completely transform himself into so many characters every thing as subtle as the intonation of their voice to the mannerisms, to the way he holds his gaze; they're all very subtle things, but they're a testament to his ability as actor.

I've always thought McCoughanahey (sic) was a great actor, but he always picked roles that were never going to sniff the Oscars.

One of my personal favorites he was in was Two For The Money. shytty movie, but I'm a sports bettor so it's a personal favorite of mine, and he was incredible in that movie.

Great actors win awards by picking great roles, and he's been doing that as of late.

Haven't seen it, can't bring myself to. I didn't enjoy Killer Joe, which a lot of people loved.

:patrice: I wanna see Magic Mike n/h but I'm afraid somebody gonna find the torrent for it on my comp.

Ok, so make another hidden folder

That & the paperboy are up next.

Magic Mike was a dopey vehicle for Channing Tatum to steal the black mans dance moves on his way to the peoples sexiest man award. He's the Eminem of greezy dancing.

But Matt was hilarious as the aging beefcake.
