:snoop:

Are you high or something? You sound paranoid as fukk.

The Real or Rev or somebody was talking about the Maggie shyt a full page before you. Ironically they haven't said shyt.

:what: at you thinking "oh, he responded around the time I did, he means me".

What is wrong with you man?

Fred.

Show has been weak two weeks in a row in my opinion. When I say weak, I'm talking only in comparison to the first 5 episodes. As stand alone episodes, they are better than most of what is on TV.

Nic dropped the ball a bit in my opinion. I'll still be there Sunday night and for Season 2. "Average" True Detective is still damn good TV.

:laff: wait, so him taking crack rocks to the head after snorting dust all night, then being able to sober up in the middle of a shoot, and take a bat to the torso, was somehow more "believable"

y'all pick the weirdest/most random shyt to NOT believe in this show.
Wasnt that serious dude :comeon: i wasnt rambling about that scene so relax

Episode was dope. I need specific examples of why people think this was a wack episode, or why the show fell off. I don't see it.

Fred.

I don't know know what made cats think this was some interactive show for them to put their Sherlock hats on and figure out hidden secrets that Pizzolatto was hiding just for them to pick up on:heh:Dude repeatedly says he's not trying to fool you and that the detective angle is merely a means to the end of a dynamic character study. Instead of taking him at his word nikkas are like "What if he's just saying that to throw us off the trail?:lupe:" I can already see the posts about how underwhelming the finale is when Maggie isn't the Yellow Queen who cooks spaghetti and meatballs to rapists at a cult restaurant called Carcosa:snoop:

What happens if your issues with the last two episodes involve "dynamic character study"?

In the ocean where the sharks be at
Anticipating the last ep clarifying what Marty meant throughout the interviews with Mouzone about how everything was right under his nose. Hopefully it's a twist that involves his fam and not about just about police being involved.

No. I don't give a shyt about that. It's how it happened.

That shyt was lazy writing in my opinion. It also butchered the character's behavior.

It didn't though. Cats just misread the character, nothing more nothing less. The fact that the guy is a wreck in 2012 should be a big ass clue for all his talking he's just as damaged and imperfect as everyone else. It's not like Pizzolatto wrote the earlier scenes with no idea how the character would wind up.

That slip up exists in a vacuum when you take into consideration the characters behavior outside of that scene. What I have said is that Nic got lazy there in my opinion. It actually seems very obvious that it was plot advancement at the cost of a character's behavior.

This is a man consumed by a case, was able to formulate a plan to escape police/attacks in Episode 4 despite taking an insane amount of drugs, meticulous in decision-making as well as being told repeatedly throughout the show that he was able to read people and their intentions extremely well. So we take all the information provided to us there, and we get to throw it away for 20 seconds under the guise of "he's just human". As soon as he nuts, he goes back to behavior in the same manner for the rest of the years as he did before the sex.

It literally exists in a vacuum when you take into account the character we were presented.

I'm trusting the writer of the show to wow us because of how much of it feels like it's set up for the story to just wrap itself up. Still no complaints.
