How is this being framed as a "left" issue when the "right" is actively blocking border measures and isn't doing a damn thing to get free healthcare.

This should be non-partisan, our current system is not set up to serve us. And yes, I do agree illegal immigrants should not have access to the system, or be let in.

the left are the ones who want universal healthcare, in this country. so if they want to have that conversation, they're gonna have to decide whether pandering to illegal immigrants is more important

There are some downsides to universal healthcare system, but would the typical American be worse off? We should learn from your failings and implement a better system.

because all these free healthcare countries, canada, UK, japan, etc, have locked down borders. they don't have a massive stream of broke immigrants showing up every day, looking to be let in. and those people, for all their "contributions to the economy", they don't contribute shyt at tax time, when it comes to who pays for universal healthcare. the middle class pays for it. our taxes go up, healthcare costs go down

so if you want free healthcare, get serious about locking down the border. we aren't gonna become the world's hospital

The reason there is no better health care system is solely because of republican opposition, they oppose any type of universal government health care system to help the citizens they see that as helping moochers and lazy people and being tyranny, which is asinine

Ironically, two republican president's(Teddy Roosevelt and Richard Nixon) wanted or/and seriously looked into universal healthcare for American people.

if you’re Canadian you are paying 13-15% sales tax on anything you buy. Used? Same tax. You pay that tax on top of tips, everything. we have have multiple taxes on everything you can think of. We have a carbon tax. So think of all the years you’re paying extreme taxes for everything….
