It's no argument that will make the current system make sense to me
Went for a 1 hour long physical therapy session a couple months ago....$700 with my portion being $200. I'm never going back despite my elbow being sore now
I have a deep cleaning coming up at the dentist....$1200. my portion probably going be $150.
I don't give a fukk if I have to wait months for an appointment I'd take both of those for $0.00 over the current situation
and the gag is we have to wait months for routine check ups anyway wtf is the difference, especially if you a new patient. Only ER and urgent care is seeing you same day and both those are taxing too, especially ER visits

My wife just wanted to do screening for fibroids or cysts paid 30 cdn and in 5 min of arriving got a ultrasound then saw the gynecologist for a consultation

In Canada seeing a specialist takes forever but it's free

How is the pay in the medical industry in Canada? In other countries with cheap healthcare theyndobt make much so being a doctor or dentist is some normal shyt lol

Doctors make like 200-300k but specialists make more

Yeah prescription drugs aren't covered ages 18-65 so we have private plans through work for prescription drugs and dental

because all these free healthcare countries, canada, UK, japan, etc, have locked down borders. they don't have a massive stream of broke immigrants showing up every day, looking to be let in. and those people, for all their "contributions to the economy", they don't contribute shyt at tax time, when it comes to who pays for universal healthcare. the middle class pays for it. our taxes go up, healthcare costs go down

so if you want free healthcare, get serious about locking down the border. we aren't gonna become the world's hospital

The wait times have been decreased dramatically at most hospitals.

Only in those small hick towns is it really that bad .


Turnover is down and vacancy is down

I've been to that rinky dink hospital down in Welland there was no waiting time...went right in to see a doctor within 10 mins...I just think 1 off problems get falsely advertised as a nationwide and province wide issue that's not happening everywhere...

Do you know how fukked up Canada is? We are resource rich but tax everyone and everything like crazy. 6 million can’t find a family doctor. Wait times at hospitals are terrible. People dying waiting for surgeries. Had to bring in 4m ppl the last couple years to prop up the economy. Its not going well.

There are some downsides to universal healthcare system, but would the typical American be worse off? We should learn from your failings and implement a better system.

How is this being framed as a "left" issue when the "right" is actively blocking border measures and isn't doing a damn thing to get free healthcare.

This should be non-partisan, our current system is not set up to serve us. And yes, I do agree illegal immigrants should not have access to the system, or be let in.
