people say that because we're familiar with his post history. this whole 'down for the cause' shyt is a joke

The down for the cause shyt is a joke because when there is an issue that needs addressing there is someone who brings up some bullshyt about someone who is supporting us is 100% or not. This thread is a perfect example.

Oh come on, any pure african can get inclusion in white society if they c00n themselves up and deny history. Just look at allen west, michael steele, or any modern day black republican. They are all accepted by white society. Being lighter skinned or darker skinned doesn't really matter. At the end of the day we are all black people whether you accept that or not. I really don't care.

That's not what we are arguing though. No one is denying there aren't some c00ns out here :whoo: That still doesn't deny their blackness. And you are crazy if you don't think there are light skin privileges. Why don't you ask black women? :aicmon: @ThiefyPoo @yeahisaidit @raedawn07 ....Like I said man. Whenever these conversations come the hyper sensitivity, denial of privileges is borderline on some white supremacist type shyt. Skin tone does matter. It is very prevalent with in Western society. Why don't you go to South and Latin America and ask the darker skinned people whether skin tone matters. I didn't deny your blackness. You are black. @kermit da hustla is black because that's how you guys self identify. Good for you.

At the beginning of mean streets
That's one individual person with the opinion. Lol I understand what he's saying and I disagree. But the mentioning of AA and Afro Caribbeans ancestral background only comes up in these discussions. That right there in itself is why there is a difference between someone with non-black parents and the average AA. Their experiences will most likely be different.

That's not true but ok. :ld:

My post went over your head, I was mostly trying to see the logic some of these posters have, fact is many afro caribbeans have european ancestors as well, think I'm lying, look it up, and as for African Americans there is European blood down they're pipeline, whether it's one person or not. What I'm saying is yes these groups are mostly black, but you have posters like @GreatestLaker saying people aren't black due to some sort of mixing down the pipeline, hell dude even got on me because I don't claim my white/carib Indian background. @marcuz name these posters trying to cling on European pride so bad :usure: don't have me fooled with c00ns like Anothergirl.
No I said they aren't the same as black Africans.

And yet in those countries black people have much less power than in the United States. Do you know why? Because people with black ancestry in the US decided to STICK TOGETHER, they didn't try to separate themselves just because someone was lighter or darker. A collective black experience is much better than trying to make a reverse caste system, where you want to put the darkest at the top and don't count the lighter skinned blacks. You sound just as bad as the white supremacists.

:what: You conflated light skin people with mixed raced. You can be light skin and have two black parents and you also can be mixed raced and be dark. Man I think this topic might be above your pay grade.

You may be smart but your reading comprehension is TERRIBLE. I asked YOU a question. Respond to the question. And not what YOU think I think. I said "are light skinned people black?" and I asked YOU. I didn't ask ME.. I also didn't SAY there was not a difference between Light skinned Black people and mixed raced people. And if I did please show me, where I said it.

I'm just saying....we can't have progress with old, primitive ways of thinking. Its time to move forward and be productive. If our achievers sat around having redundant arguments about the purity of bloodlines we'd be doomed. Find the productive minded individuals and build toward something while everybody else debates about shades.

Lol Primitive ways of thinking is the one drop rule. I don't care but do you guys understand what your saying? You know who were the "progressives" of the early 1900's? Woodrow Wilson, William Jennings Bryan etc. They went unchecked with their racism but since they were labeled "progressives" no one batted an eye. Just stating you want "progress" means nothing if you are still going to have an archaic thought process.

:snoop: I don't want a reverse caste system. I don't even have a dog in this fight. The reason those people in those countries have little power because they never defined themselves as "black" or "white". To do that would be incorrect. It wouldn't tell the entire story. They are just now starting to that in places like Brazil but they are having problems trying to determine who is actually black and who is actually white and how that should be determined. :pachaha: You are black guy. I'm not taking that away from you or anyone.

Again you guys are conflating Lighterskinned black people with those who are mixed raced. :mindblown:

Lol Paula Patton, Halle Berry are biracial(for this argument)...Beyonce is black(both parents black) and happens to be light skinned. Same with Sanaa Lathan.

I'm not even sure what you are saying in regards to brazil but anyway If halle berry, paula patton, and obama wants to call themselves black then they have every right to do that. I won't deny someone their blackness just because they might have more privileges in white society or because they are lighter skinned. No one has the right to do that. I don't care if they are mixed either.

And someone like Vanessa Williams is? Both of her parents identify as black, but they both come from a long line of mixed raced people. She did a DNA test recently and she came back 52% black and 48% white.

That's not true but ok. :ld:

:what: Are you sitting here stating that a black kid in South Carolina going home to his parents who are black is having the same experience as a biracial kid in Ohio going home to a black parent and a white parent?

So Karreuche Tran who is Black and Asian had the same experience growing up as Obama?

:pachaha: On one hand you negroes will blow a gasket if someone said "black people are monolithic" but you completely disregard differences in socialization, race and culture in how people grow up.

All black people no matter their racial background, economic status and location all have the same experiences brehs :laff:

You guys are so hypersensitive about someone potentially taking your blackness away you can't even focus. You are black. @kermit da hustla is black etc. That doesn't mean we all experience the same things and those experiences can differ especially those of us with different ancestral background. But I'm just like white supremacists :laff:
