There’s alot fewer top corners altogether

Elite corners are not worth paying huge salaries. OCs can simply design plays to stay away from an elite corner. No team out there is gonna pay top dollar to 2 elite corners. Rather pay a DE who can rush and have decent corners who aren't going to break the bank. Plus, all the elite athletes rather play WR, they get paid more, there's more glory, and more chances for being paid off the field for sponsorships, etc. How many commercials do you see of DBs? None.

I wouldn’t want the patriots to draft this kid with a top 5 pick, I’d rather trade and get more picks, we have too many holes and this kid is risky

Best player available. If it's Hunter, they gotta grab him. Drafting for position need is how teams end up being shytty for years.

It’ll be fascinating to see the patriots on Sunday in a situation where they have to lose, but knowing the bills are resting people and the pats are starting Maye it’s entirely possible they manage to fukk this up

No way I take hunter number one, especially if he’s more of a DB…. Best case scenario is get the first pick and trade it to whichever team wants sanders the most, and add a couple day one picks to load up

We have too many holes but nothing will matter if we can’t get an offensive line

These dudes are conflating NBA and NFL projections. You never talk about college football players going to "fill out" in the NFL like they do with NBA Prospects. You essentially are what you are and you will be graded accordingly

Lamar Jackson gained 20lbs a couple off-seasons ago cause he felt it kept him healthier. Then he dropped back down this season to be faster.

It's not impossible. It's something a player would have to actively do. An extra 100 calories a day would gain you 10 lbs in a year. Extra 300 would get you 10lbs in 4 months. He could literally eat 3 granola bars before bed or drink 3 beers before bed....workouts remaining the same calorie burn, lol.

That’s what I’m trying to tell them breh. If he not gaining weight now he not gaining shyt in the league. Like I said earlier Texas had a dude enroll in January and by June he gained 25 pounds and was faster and quicker than before. Idk what tf they do in Colorado. shyt my high school we had dudes gaining 15 pounds in a year then again that is in Texas lol

But a player has to consume the calories and feel good about the weight gain. Maybe Travis is a super health nut that he won't even go to Krispy Kreme....if he can't get the extra calories through lean protein and veggies he might not do it.

Lamar also had a lot of bad weight in that 20 pounds tho. Even he agreed. I feel like in college because they watch your every move the bad weight is way less.

Yea but they give those guys protein shakes and bars and all that. He probably just can’t gain weight lol

Mayo will have our team prepared to lose. No worries :lolbron:

This draft isn't the draft to get cute and trade down. From my understanding, there aren't too many 'can't miss prospects' in this draft.

The better athletes are likely at corner honestly

The higher paid and more famous athlete is def the WR

Travis is not an elite WR prospect though. He will not get that salary.

He can get an elite DB salary though. And he is already famous so deal in the bag.

It’s really a no brainer but it’s a cool discussion for the socials I guess

Idk if he would be an elite DB tho because that seems like a position you have to be super technically skilled in

I think it used to be that way, but it's shifted the past half decade or more. The WRs that have come out of college the past 5 years are crazy athletic, all those guys from LSU and OSU especially.
