It wasn't worth going to the cinema to see.

This is the kind of movie you watch at home when there ain't shyt else to do. I wasn't expecting a horror action flick but it was underwhelming to say the least.

Just came in from watching this with my girl. The trailers looked crazy and the reviews I read were pretty good. Shyt has a critically acclaimed MC score...

It was :trash:

People walked out in the middle of the movie and groans and bytching were heard when the movie ended. My girl said we were better off catching this on Netflix or some shyt.

This shyt ain't scary its more creepy/demonic. The plot is slow as shyt and the ending is ass. Them 1600s Puritan English accents had a nikka thinking he was reading Canterbury Tales. I don't know if it was my theater but the sound wasn't that good.

The cutting of the baby's penis and the way the little brother looks at his sister's breast creepy as shyt. :sadcam:

This movie was good. I thought it did a good job of creating an unreliable narrator and keeping you guessing about whether the daughter was really a witch or not. I also liked the atmosphere it set. Very creepy. My only beef though is that the dialogue was not easy to interpret. It wasn't just that it was old English, it was that it was old English, and there was a lot of muttering. I wish I could have watched it with subtitles, so I can't wait to buy it and do that. I think it's worth buying a copy of just because of it's unconventional approach in embracing the mythos of the witch trials in American history, especially in light of how politically incorrect it is now to buck the feminist framing of that topic.
