TYRONE GA!
I've typed this up before. It wasn't Purdy. It was Kyle. Kyle never trusted Jimmy enough after the SB to allow anything other than vanilla with him and Trey was all QB runs with long developing plays which wouldn't have worked given his lack of experience. Purdy was the only one he put in positive positions with his playcalling.

If this was an actual battle for the starting position this off-season instead of gifting the job I'm not sure who would've won it, but making it a lay up for Brock wasn't the best strategy because he's only in his second year and we've seen one year flukes before. This pre-season Brock has looked like Alex Smith with his QB decisions. Lynch clearly let Kyle rock with whatever QB decisions he wanted this year because on the field Darnold wasn't blowing Trey out of the water and Brock has been a check down king.

Purdy isn't a special talent. He is Kyle's preference. Just like Darnold and Allen. This is about the coach getting the QB room he wanted. We're back to the Beathard/Mullen QB room days and we'll know if it's going to go bad pretty quick because the Steelers are looking locked in.

Really feels like this. Gonna screenshot and post on Twitter

Kyle has proven that his qb decision making is ass

He better hope this isn’t Brocksanity

Coulda kept Jimmy for this foolishness.

And we haven’t gone one season with Kyle without the Qb(s) getting hurt.

What you mean it wasn't Purdy? Jimmy can't throw beyond 10 yards. What is Shanny supposed to do with that?

Also, you didn't see Brock extending plays last year? Jimmy had no legs.

I've seen far too many excuses for Jimmy G. He wasn't it. He was never gonna be it.

I've said a million times that Shanny's playcalling and the YAC creators of CMC/Kittle/Deebo/Aiyuk are what's most essential to the offense but for you to sit here and try to tell me that Jimmy G has the same skillset as Brock Purdy is laughable.

These posts tell me that too much of the fan base is still DELUSIONAL about Jimmy G and now we're going to make believe Trey Lance wasn't a project also.... :mjlol:

The way people talking in here you'd think we're the Texans on the path to a 1 win season. :heh:

Y'all do know we're considered one of the top 5 teams in the league, right? We're considered favorites to win the division. We just went to the NFC Championship and have only gotten better since last year. Perspective. Trey didn't even play a meaningful snap for this team in his career. We were able to get to 3 of the last 4 NFC Championships and a SB without him, he wasn't going to be a difference maker for us. Not having Bosa signed us 1000x more concerning to the success of this team than the QB2-QB3 battle:heh:

Brocks Washed Coli Breh arm is why he went last in the draft but gee golly willickers he got spunk!!!!

Brocksanity ending and we gonna be in Darnold Season :why:
I don't know. For some reason I don't think it's a Cinderella season. Brock is has an extremely weak arm. But he doesn't have to throw deep to be successful in the offense. The run game is going to allow him to dink and dunk and go over the top where his duck pass won't get picked. The defense is going to get turnovers like they never have and put us in a position to have a short field to score. Remember he is practicing against the best defense in the league. Too many defenses that are inferior to ours so he'll be alright. It's basically a situation where he fits in this offense. It's anomaly for a QB to come right in and be comfortable in the offense from day one.

The problem is when he inevitably gets hurt. That is the real problem. Darnold is ass. He'll turn the ball more than throwing TDs. This is the true fukk up right here. He didn't even outplay Trey in the pre season. They just "like" Darnold. :mjpls:

Not completely sold on QB1 but the weapons on offense and our defense with Bosa and Fred should hold us down

Pshhssss.

We already got Phillip Rivers on speed dial :mjlol:
Bullshyt. Phillip Rivers CALLED the Niners last year when Jimmy went down. Kyle said no we are good with Brock. This fukking idiot brings in Josh Johnson for backup knowing good and damn well this is an injury prone team. This is the goofy shyt I'm talking about with this overrated rat face bytch. NO championship coach would do that. Even if they didn't decide to go with Rivers, they would at least try to find a better backup than Josh Johnson.

Most coaches that make good choices would have said. Hey we want to see what we got in Brock. If you are ok with being security blanket and get a chance to win a Super Bowl we are happy to have you. It would be on Rivers to say yea or nay. Overall bringing Josh Johnson is pink slip grade offense.

Sure. Brock extended some plays, but he was put in that position to do so. Trey didn't get that luxury because he was the team's defacto running back by Kyle's playcalls and got hurt because of it. Brock extending plays is not some special quality that needs to be applauded. Taking advantage of the team's YAC specialists is something Kyle only did with Brock. Go look at the Chicago game Trey started. No other QB has ever led the team is designed rushes in Kyle's entire tenure here. It's something Brock is capable of, as you mentioned he has "legs", but Kyle never does it.

Second. You're making very bad assumptions about me. I'm the wrong one. I hate Jimmy. Search my posts for whatever you need to confirm that, but what I typed is the truth. Jimmy's deep throws are problematic, but his intermediate accuracy is pretty good. That said, you can't claim you want a "logical" discussion then skip out on reading comprehension because I didn't say anything near Jimmy having the same skillset. I said Kyle's playcalling with him was the issue because it was so vanilla. If you're saying something is laughable then you're laughing at yourself. The offense had zero edge with Jimmy because Kyle didn't trust him after the Super Bowl. That is what I typed. If you're bored and have time there's multiple interviews where Jimmy basically confirmed this when he complained about not having freedom.

The hilarious part about your shots at Jimmy is that Brock hasn't really thrown a pass further than 10 yards this preseason that I've seen yet. It's fine if you think he's more than what he is, but don't try to talk slick at us because we don't like to bury our heads in the sand.

If this niccas turns into Mullins 2.0 this thread and others will implode

I’m not gonna name names….. but some niccas thought MULLINS was gonna be a solid backup and small chance possible starter after his first season when he was decent.
