Just realized one more thing. It was the two crackheads who turned Dris on to the brother in the stall at the street market, who they said was an undercover fed. After Dris' warning to him, we never saw him again. Unless he was in that final scene at the police station.....Nice way to throw everyone off of their scents. Gonna have to review that.

I mean, when your own blood cousin kidnaps you for ransom, can't really trust anyone. I do wonder what happened to his brother Rafe, who was a true roadsman and a problem on the roads.
Yeah from season 2, Jermaine's brother who had the shootout with Sully, who had kidnapped Jermaine. Dushane kept Rafe off of Sully, but sacrificed Sully's boy Mike to Rafe for it + £3000. The way Jermaine was running around in this season and not even mentioning him must mean that either Rafe is in jail or dead. Rafe would've been muscle if around. His name rang out in the streets, but even he backed down to Dushane.
Still crazy that Rafe, Jermaine and Sully are blood cousins.

Dushane used to make nikkas lean back like Jamie does now, this whole later part of this season he been ducking shots.
Jermaine and his guys look like theyre really hoding.
In his scenes they already got heat ready to go, while the other street teams are scrambling to find guns last minute.
Rafe would help with muscle but the money is on the fields/roads and you need young impressionable kids who not gonna go rogue on you out the blue.
No he didn't. Remember the scene where his connection was scrambled and he couldn't stream the footage. That's when he first became aware that something shaky was going on with his brothers at home. The same car dealer that helps them out with the rentys is the one that hooked up the CCTV setup. Dushane went to dude and was basically ordering him to infiltrate Jamie's set up for this very reason.
Brilliant season. Definitely a major step up from the last two. Everybody played the hell out of their roles on some real oscar nomination type stuff. The newcomers to the series - especially Jamie and Jaq - KILLED their roles big time. The writing and character development went up.
I can't mention every single point in one post so I'll just keep going along as this thread progresses.
One thing I want to mention about Sully is he's just as much if not more of a scumbag than Dushane. He might seem as if he calmed down a bit, but just remember this is the same dude who
killed a good man in season one who was trying to protect and look out for Ra'nell after he tried to bully and rob him for his weed consignment even after Dushane told him to just pay the kid and leave him alone. Also that beef between him and Jermaine is totally his fault. He kidnaps his own cousin just because he didn't like him growing up and then even after Jermaine confronted him and gave him a chance to show some growth and apologise and admit he was wrong, he showed no remorse and still had to be an a$$hole to him. I think Jermaine would have given him a pass if he wasn't being such a fukkboy. I'm also surprised they didn't mention Rafe this season because he would have been a beast out there.
I wasn't expecting Sully's babymother to come back since she was such a minor character in Season one. That scene when she had to check Jaq and put her in her place and remind her of where she was is classic. I was like .
The one thing that also stood out to me was the presence of black couples/families in this season, cos lord knows anybody who watches British TV can tell you it's damn near nonexistent in the media. At least they showed glimpses of another side of Black Britain that I know well apart from the street stuff.
Just to add: If they portrayed the government, local councils, school system and the police to give an even bigger perspective on London then - it could be on the same level as the GOAT show.
I wish they would have brought Ra'nell back though. The boy had heart. Remember he confronted Dushane in season one and later on that chinese dude who was terrorising Gem. Although they were kind of hinting that he was gonna go on the dark path, I don't think he would have got involved in street shyt like that but he wouldn't be a p*ssy. Plus Dushane had a lot of respect for him. It just would have been interesting to see where his character would be.
The grittyness of this show makes Power look like some amateur shyt. Every main character has wonderful depth to them and love how they captured Canary Wharf and new expensive flats being built in the background to emphasize just how not too far different world are from eachother.
Also Brehs missed something very poignant about the way Jamie's parents died of cancer. Too many us (black) in this country go to the GP for a regular check up or mild illness and then be told we have cancer then next thing you know we're dying or dead. Same shyt that happened with Jamie's parents and I've heard a few cases at work as well.
