didnt need CCTV to figure who planted the bag, so Dushane most likely showing him something he already aware of but at least now theres hard proof to present.

Its really just the principle of calling the laws and putting nikkas in position to face penitentiary

Oh, no doubt. But they had already established that Jamie was completely surrounded by security and there was no way into The Fields for them to hit him, and they knew about the CCTV.

Sully said there's always a way. At that point, by any means necessary. Completely messed up way of thinking, but Dushane got what they both wanted, which was Jamie off the road and beholden to him for his freedom. It was some sucker ish to involve the brothers in it, but they never had any problems going after family not on the road in prior seasons. This time though, due to their own personal losses, they at least had some hesitancy and expressed remorse. I guess you can call that growth, maybe???

Jermaine ...
probably sent Modie out knowing that he was on a dummy mission and would get caught. Modie was becoming unhinged and ultimately a liability when he started threatening the only viable plug available to them.
I wonder if Jermaine was the one who dropped the dime to the feds of where Modie would be. It was way too easy and coincidental that they found him where and when they did. Only Jermaine knew where he'd be, as he had to text him the address. Just the same, Jermaine had to have known what kind of fukkery Modie was on before he went away. And still he orchestrated his escape. Modie was definitely a liability. Not sure what his or Jermaine's endgame was. They were all better off rolling with Jamie anyway. But jealousy....

Re: the crackheads.... Crazy how you, in hindsight, you think back to all of the times that they begged for a hit, and never got one directly from Dris, Dushane, Sully or Jaq.... We also never saw them actually smoke or shoot up anything. Always giving or receiving information.... Stayed in character in The Fields when the old geezer was beating their ass off of his area. Loved the way they set that entire avenue up. Basically, their version of The Wire.

I thought back to all of this with the :ohhh: like that’s some dope writing, bear In mind also that they are literally the first scene of the season too

I see Dushane already getting his drug lord swag on by being able to have police look the other way inside with his phone, gonna be sick watching him take over the city next season, way more fun to watch that imo then have the main character start at the top of running a whole city, we saw that with Ghost in power without seeing how he got there, and then spent 5 seasons wondering how he got there because he acts like a fukking moron

What a fukking show this is, just amazing on every level. After watching a few episodes of season 3, I just binge watched the original first season so I could get more of the backstory on season 3. It leaves its closest competitor, The
Wire, in the dust :wow:
Slow down there. Enjoy Season 1 & 2, then 3. It helps to see the characters' growth and the decisions they make. Both Dushane and Sully are straight demons.

The Wire is a different beast that delves much deeper under the drug-related stories. Top Boy will never go in-depth on corruption in the police force, docks, newspapers, school systems in London. That's not their lane, nor would they have access to the trove of evidence to support it, like The Wire's writer, who actually was a journalist for the local Baltimore paper.

There'll never be another street show like The Wire. But Top Boy is brilliantly done for London. It has its own lane and let's enjoy it for what it is and not try to compare it.

I've been to London several times and I find myself googling what areas the show is filmed in. Furthest outside of the tourist zones that I ventured over the years were South Croydon, Hounslow East, Brixton, Arsenal, Notting Hill/Chelsea and Greenwich areas. Found Summerhouse and The Fields areas on Google, by some of the shops, train stations shown in Top Boy. Absolutely no interest in going anywhere near there ever hahaha

Also regarding Jamie/Lizzie :francis:

Jamie was way too head over heels for that broad. I mean treating your married supplier as your girlfriend/fukk buddy brehs? :snoop: He should've kept it straight business and just let her keep her panties wet instead of chasing it. Would've opened way more doors with her, her husband & the people they get the shyt from. She played apart in his downfall

Ats :pacspit:

Straight up bytch nikka, should've gotten bodied when fat boy kicked the door in :pacspit:

One thing that annoyed me was the fact that nobody had a fukking code. I swear their were like 5 people who flipped on somebody throughout the season :heh:.

Another thing is that these cats are fighting over basically one hood when they could takeover the city together with the connect they have :snoop:

That was the plan tho, but Jaime wasn’t having it

Dushane is too grimy :wow: Anyone can get fed to the wolves if it means keeping him on top. I enjoyed Sully's arc this season too.

They did a great job on the rollercoaster of making characters likeable enough, before they do some despicable shyt. Jamie especially.

Jermaine is such a snake.:mjlol: It's like he relishes being on some bad mind shyt. Everytime he's on screen he's just :mjgrin:waiting to fukk someone's life up.

African mother >>>> shotgun:wow: The two white junkies putting the 'Fed' in 'Fiend' :damn:

Yeah, that Jamie/Lizzie thing was over-the-top. But he was a young dude who wasn't getting any, as he told his brothers. One time he tried to with shorty from the watch shop, and cats put bullets in his "date's" neck. Lizzie just wanted some strange. But Mr. Blue Balls got sprung off the newness and couldn't keep it cool. She told him the game and how to play it. He couldn't control himself. Youth....

Ats is like 8-9 yo....I can't support ending that life like that. He made a desperate mistake. He 100% wasn't built for that world and they (Jaq/Dushane) preyed on his desperation and his closeness to Jamie's lil brother Steph. Dushane ain't ish for that. And fat boy....you gon up your rep on a 8-9 yo???

The code is BS. People do what they must for survival. Basic instinct. If their actions have consequences, so be it. Exactly what code are we talking about???
- Leyton did fight or step up for the spot when Modie went away. He thought it was his just because.... He had no plan, got moved out the way, got jealous and got dealt with.
- Dris had a stroke, wasn't pulling his weight and wasn't reliable, got moved out the way, got jealous and was dealt with...allegedly.
- Ats thought that he was delivering something for Jaq. He wasn't street smart at all. He was desperate to earn some ends for the house, and Jaq had him believing that he was in debt to her. He did as they told him.
- Jamie didn't betray Modie or Leyton. He just exploited the lack of leadership and enforced his own.
- Jaq's sister didn't intentionally flip on her or Sully. She was pillow-talking with Leyton.
- Dushane flipped on the failed post office robber dude after he threatened to shoot the old convenience store lady. Justified.
- Lizzie flipped on Jamie with a gun to her head. Plus, she was getting tired of the childish crush stuff Jamie was on.
- Jermaine flipped on Modie and probably ratted him out to the cops. But Modie was on a deathwish anyway and didn't care about anything.
- Dushane flipped on the home care worker??? But he's a POS so that's not shocking.
- Dushane flipped Jamie's little brothers to the feds in order to get Jamie out the paint, and did so, until he realized that Jamie could add a lot of value to his own organization.

I mean, when your own blood cousin kidnaps you for ransom, can't really trust anyone. I do wonder what happened to his brother Rafe, who was a true roadsman and a problem on the roads.
