Regardless of how heartless stewart Appears to be, old boy should not have gotten out of his car. Since we're passed that tho, I think he purposely drove towards the breh to scare him and accidentally struck the individual. I believe that's still manslaughter or criminally negligent homicide.

I'm no law major tho, so I could be wrong :manny:

They can be gun-ho about a story as small-scale as a lebron diet cuz accountability doesn't play a huge role in it. A dude getting hit by a car on a track is a little more sensitive an issue. I don't see anything wrong with ESPN taking their time with the story. What is reporting it immediately in real time going to change? It's not gonna bring any more justice to the situation. I'd rather get my news later with full accuracy than reactionary speculation. You had dudes in here talking like dude wasn't dead at first, like Tony Stewart was in his car ready to race the next day, both of which didn't happen. What's wrong with taking time to accurately cover a story? People are so spoiled these days and want things immediately

:comeon: They've gone gun-ho about tons of other sensitive stories. They've conditioned us to expect that type of coverage (and not just ESPN).

And for the record, I'm not asking for that type of coverage, just saying I can understand the criticism.

and CBS and NBC?

and CN fukking N?

Two prominent media analysts -- Marci Ryvicker of Wells Fargo and Kannan Venkateshwar of Barclays -- have both put CNN's value around $4.3 billion. That is an adjusted for taxes. Pre-tax value is in the $6-billion to $7-billion range.

That is low, according to current and former senior executives at Time Warner Inc., who declined to speak publicly on the matter because of the 21st Century Fox situation. One former executive put CNN's worth at between $8 billion to $12 billion. A company insider said $8 billion to $10 billion was in the ballpark.

When Steve Burke finally steps down as Comcast COO (if he doesn't continue to hold dual titles) and steps up as NBC Universal CEO, he'll be confronted with a USA Network that's worth $11.7 billion and an NBC Network worth a negative $600 million, according to a story in The Hollywood Reporter.

White privilege is being able to lay low after killing a man in front of countless witnesses because Michelle Beadle's got everyone too caught up in a frenzy over a black NFL player KO'ing his wife after a drunken casino argument.

If a drunk, homeless man stepped in front of your vehicle and you hit him, would you be saying "Yes, I deserve to go to jail." No, it would be considered an accident. This was clearly the fault of the driver whom got hit. In a moment of anger and range, he got out of his car, began waving his finger at another drive and stepped into traffic on a sharp turn and was sadly struck. It wasn't outright murder, white privilege, etc or anything. It was an unfortunate accident.

Jeez, brehs. :snoop:
i swear to god, i thought i was the only one

this dude got hit by a race car...walking around a fukkin race track. call me crazy but im just not seeing dude speeding up and hitting him, in the video :yeshrug:

and thats objective, i dont give a fukk about nascar or tony stewart or any of this shyt

FWIW here is the perspective of former Bloomington, Indiana sprint car driver Kevin Briscoe per his Facebook page:

"Thoughts and prayers are with the Kevin Ward family. Last night’s accident from a driver’s perspective: Tony did not do this on purpose and was only trying to avoid Kevin when he saw him at the last moment. You have to look at the whole situation not just that moment. Tony did nothing wrong in the incident the lap before just made a pass like drivers do a 1000 times. Kevin got over the cushion hit the wall and spun. Yes Tony took a lot of track but never hit Kevin a pass that happens every night in a sprint car. Tony has no clue that Kevin had even crashed when he is coming back around the track and has no reason to even be upset because he is unaware who the yellow is even for. Kevin is the very upset because he thinks Tony had crashed him, he gets out of his car with a black uniform and a black helmet. The track is black and not well lit Tony is not expecting someone to be in the middle of the track and sees him at the last moment gases to turn the car to avoid him and accidently hits him. You have to hit the throttle to turn a sprint car quickly. It was an unfortunate accident and was not on purpose. Thoughts and prayers for Tony, his family and friends."

So Stewart may have not even been aware that there was an issue with Ward

honestly though when put like this it makes a lot of sense...I remember how hard go karts were to steer and they probably went no more than 40mph I can't imagine a car like the one Tony Stewart was driving and being able to react that quickly with such short notice

This. I'm not surprised our resident race baiters like @NYC Rebel would turn an incident between two WHITE racers into another platform about the #inherent disadvantages of being black in America. Racism is alive we get it but got damn race has absolutely NOTHING to do with this incident
I'm speaking on the difference in media coverage because of race. Not "the incident" itself. All the "incident" would do if someone had Tonys track record being non-white is negative speculation catching life. Not The type of fair coverage due Stewart isn't due others if in his position . You would ignore that...I choose not too

Hmmm...i retract my statement then, assuming other drivers would agree with this analysis

Tony Stewart could flat say "I ran him over on purpose" tomorrow, and i still think you're dumb for immediately jumping to the assumption he did that on purpose without knowing anything
