How closely does the movie pull from the reboot? Percentages if possible.
Basically the whole plot, aesthetics, set pieces but changes thing for the worse in my opinion. It kind of integrated the second game into the plot a little bit( Rise of The Tomb Raider). Sadly, I say about 50- 65% of the film reference or pulls from the reboot. Too be honest... the film would of been much better if they full on copied the game's story because they really fumbled with the changes.

Didn't see it yet but I'm guessing they didn't want to weird people out with the Japanese mythical queen storyline they had in the game.
Actually... They have the Himko storyline, but they alter it. I honestly don't know why to be honest. The game did it better.

It was decent.. probably the best video game adaptation right now.

I might have to check out the actual game it's based on...haven't fukked w/ TR for years.

This was one of the best video game films and one of its most faithful.
That’s the highest praise I can give it. Unfortunately being one of the best video game films is like being an arm wrestling champion at the quadriplegic wing in the hospital. And unfortunately the new tomb raiders game have a mediocre uninispired story.
That’s not to say the film is bad,but it’s not good. It’s solid. A watch on Netflix while half paying attention type of film.
That said it’s a decent franchise starter. The potential is there to be better. Vikander is great in the role. Her physicality and beauty carries the film.
Walton goggins is okay,but his character is one note and kind of boring. The whole father angle was oddly developed.
The end was a bit ham fisted,rushed and desperate but I still hope to see a better sequel.
In the end I didn’t hate what I saw,but it wasn’t anything anybody needs to see in theatres.

This movie was so dope to me 
As a fan of the series they did a great job of making the remake games come to life. Acting was on point, you can tell the girl who played Lara was really excited about the role and put a lot of work into it, she is so bad too 
The shipwreck and the waterfall scenes were edge of your seat incredible, I was damn near screaming at the screen. The villain was kinda bland imo but not a big deal. Also, I found it very hard to see the dad as a good guy bc he will always be the villain who raped the queen in 300I was halfway expecting him to make a heel turn

It was a decent movie but I didn't like that they chose not to include the supernatural element.
Another thing I disliked was how it handled the father storyline.

It's at ~262 million now. Had a 94 million budget.
In comparison the jolie films
Tomb raider 115 million budget 274 million gross
Cradle of life 95 million budget 156 million gross
So,I'd say there's a decent chance a sequel happens

Watching now. Might stop it since I really don't care for the TR flicks. I enjoyed the games, but the movies never gave me interest.
