Ended up seeing it tonight. I enjoyed it, but then again I enjoy pretty much everything :manny:

Sets up the sequel pretty nicely too

Saw it today in the car sickness simulator they call 4DX and this movie just. feels. so. old. It has the kind of developments and tropes you'd expect from a Nic Cage movie made in the early 00's, down to scenes like chasing a couple of pickpockets for no other reason than to have some "action" during the plot heavy stuff, and the who-thought-this-was-cool bicycle street race to establish Lara's croft-iness.

Add that the cast is wasted completely and it really just feels like a waste of everyone's time and money.

Like I thought, it’s a perfect MoviePass movie:manny:
I thought it was pretty good:ehh:
It probably needed another 20-30 minutes to show more of Lara’s survival skills, but that would have been boring to most:russell:
Instead, as soon as she got to the island, she was pretty much on the final couple of chapters of the video game:upsetfavre:
It’s still probably the best video game movie since RE1:yeshrug:

The year 3030
not bad. I like it better than the Joli flicks.

Haven't played the games since the PS1 ones, so don't really know how the games themselves have been story wise. The puzzle parts did remind me of that mobile Lara Croft GO shyt though...I did like the falling floor puzzle when dude behind was like :mindblown: where the floor go :russ:

This lara was a pretty good fit IMO.

Hope we get a few more

I read something earlier that said it feels like a late 90s movie
