I always hated the ending to this movie even tho its one of my favorite movies. There is no way Chris was getting away by showing a fake id.

R.I.P. he had a lot of demons with drugs and his health had been bad for a while. He was one of the actors that played whatever role he was in to it’s max. The scene with he and Chris Penn interrogating dude in True Romance was hilarious.
