"The Statue of Liberty is KAPUT!"

Borderline top 10 all time for me

FMJ and this go back & forth as my favorite war movies.

Corporal Upham :pacspit: watching his homie get killed is one of the most frustrating scenes in any movie...gets my blood boiling every time, which means it's such a well written/well directed scene.

That decision not to shoot the Nazi was fukked up...would've shot that MFer in the stomach and let him bleed out after one of our men was killed by his. This is fukking war, not a time for humanity.

Barry Pepper's Sniper character is one of the GOAT war movie characters :salute: The shot through the eye glass :wow: Seeing the tank aim up towards his perch, but instead of running, he just clips as many Nazis as he can before he's blown up :wow: :wow: :wow:. Should be a congressional Medal of Honor for that

and right before that Hanks character went from "We are taking this hill" yelling and belittling his men then 5 minutes later he's sparing a Nazi. smh.

The movie industry fell off.Average movies from back in the day look like classics compared to most of the shyt we get now.
We lost a lot once movies went 99% digital and stopped shooting on film. Plus the over-reliance on CGI the past 20+ years. Plus movies are so desaturated and poorly lit now.

I also think feige ruined blockbusters like curry ruined the nba but we’re finally emerging from the bullshyt a bit

breh, between this and boiler room...Vin Diesel probably could've been a great dramatic actor if he didn't get so hooked on dudebro roles and being an action star, and just...quit acting.
Lowkey, he comes from an acting background as I attended his father's class in NYU for media.

It's just been a cash grab and addiction to women that held him back. The nıgga use to practically live at the playboy mansion in 01'.

Edit: My top 5 in no particular order, mainly personal biases so far

  1. Good Will Hunting
  2. A Bronx Tale
  3. Devil in a blue dress
  4. Godfather II
  5. Pursuit of Happiness
