In retrospect the most memorable thing that came out of the angle was “take a shower, hit the weights, get a clue”

The shyt was on Genius.com the next day. That promo was a BIG deal. The Shower, weights, clue line is only mentioned here from what ive seen.

fair enough...ya got me....but I know one memorable thing he did during his year long reign...Keep Wack ass wrestlers Like ....Miz, Ziggler, Cryback and to a lesser extent Cena from sniffing the WWE title...and for that he is legend

Were realky pretending like Punk couldnt have had a dope reign if they didnt sandbag the fukk out of his reign? Cena vs John Laurinatis main evented a ppv over him and that should have been his feud to begin with. Some of yall pick funny times to blame creative and not.

This brought me back to watching wrestling full time after a 9 year hiatus. I was starting a new job while in college and a coworker was talking about the pipe bomb. I asked him who did it and he said CM Punk. I was like "that long haired weird straight edge dude?!" So that night after work I went on YouTube and watched it for myself and I became a wrestling fan again.

The problem with Punk's first half of his reign was more about WWE not knowing how to book a face champion (for the nth time). If Punk main evented those PPVs I don't see what changes from his reign and his status. besides him feeling more happy. He was still a major part on TV, he just couldn't scape shytty booking that went beyond card placement.
