there was massive hype after he cut that promo… for like 4 weeks
too bad this was nothing more than the wrestling equivalent of Kendrick’s Control verse

meanwhile people still remember Brock breaking the streak/Drake on Stay Schemin’

no one outside the wrestling bubble really cares anymore

even when it happened there was no noticeable ratings spike and Vince was disappointed after the MITB 2011 buyrate fell flat

In retrospect the most memorable thing that came out of the angle was “take a shower, hit the weights, get a clue”

A real great would of kept your interest...lol. Bryan got pushed down with Kane and still won the main event of WM XXX. He was the changing point but injuries ended that and fans were rewarded with "The Big Dog"...lol

Except you forget to mention that Daniel TA lost the company $750 million and the ratings tanked with him as champion

I didn't watch that episode of RAW so when I went to the review blog I normally read at the time, they were talking and I went, "What?" I think I watched it after that and I was convinced that he was shooting. I never heard a promo like that before, especially with him name dropping other companies and throwing shots at the McMahon family. There were a lot of memorable quotes here:

"He's a millionaire who should be a billionaire. You know why he’s not a billionaire? Because he surrounds himself with glad-handed, nonsensical, douchebag yes men, like John Laurinaitis, who’s going to tell him everything he wants to hear, and I’d like to think that maybe this company will be better after Vince McMahon is dead. But the fact is, it’s going to be taken over by his idiotic daughter and his doofus son-in-law and the rest of his stupid family!" :dead:

"This isn't sour grapes, but the fact that Dwayne is in the main event of WrestleMania next year and I'm not makes me sick!" :heh:

"You're the ones that buy those programs that my face isn't on the cover of, and then at five in the morning at the airport, you try to shove it in my face and get an autograph, and try to sell it on eBay, because you're too lazy to go out and get a real job!" :damn:

The second half of 2011 was a lot more interesting than the company had been in a long time, but letting this whole thing cool off was one of the worst mistakes they have ever made. Also, this was what cemented Punk's place as a top guy in my eyes.

I dont remember Truth going over Cena
:myman:

I don't remember Punk was rocking an Austin shirt :ohhh:

Anyone know what Punk was going to say about the Be A Star campaign?:dwillhuh:
Was going to call it bullshyt because of the bullying in the WWE office and lockerroom, but the WWE takes that Be A Star shyt seriously so that was a no-go
