I remember not catching this live and watching it on Youtube the next day because I heard all the buzz surrounding it. The point where I thought it was insane was when he mentioned ROH/New Japan.

I know the lineage goes Hogan/Austin/Rock/Cena, but CM Punk was pretty mainstream even though he was never the face of the company. It's a bit like Macho Man and The Undertaker. They were never faces of the company, but still pretty mainstream.

Got me back into the E. Had me :gladbron:

Was at SS and immediately went :dwillhuh: at the finish.

Watched a Raw or 2 after and was like, "I got back into it for this?" :what:

Still kept my interest since, but I wasn't watching this shyt 5 hours a week. :mjlol:

Pretty sure I had a similar response for the 5 year, and 4, and 3... :heh:

I can't look at that promo without thinking about how bad WWE fukked up WWE's momentum and how they fukked up his 434 day reign.

That promo, that build, all of it was just so exciting, WWE was so stale and bland for years and then boom, this feud pops up and its the hottest angle WWE had in forever. Even though it was wayyy to early for him to come back, when he returned with his ROH theme, I was like :krs:

I'll give him credit with that 434 day reign though, he worked his ass off during that run, even with him rarely main event PPVs as champ.

I was just such a huge fan Punk man. Just a textbook Professional Wrestler :wow:

I personally hated how WWE handled CM Punks 434 day reign looking back. The fact that he barely mainevented PPV's as the champion and always came out at the second hour instead of the mainevent on RAW left a bad taste in my mouth. Not to mention dropping it to The Rock at the RR when it should have been a triple threat match at mania if anything.

Least we got one of the best modern era promo packages out of it.

Best thing about that promo and that dope build towards MITB was that for all the shooty stuff Punk was saying, he kept talking about the WWE Title and selling his match at the PPV like a motherfukker. Sadly after his quick return that aspect of his promos got sidelined for more worked shoot stuff with Nash and HHH that lead to so many cringe worthy promos :scust:

What frustrated me more about the failure of the booking during Summer of Punk 2.0 was that it was the 2nd consecutive year WWE fukked up a dope angle. 2010 had the Nexus debut that was legit the most exciting thing the company had had in 2-3 years and they fukk it up ASAP.

Then Punk's promo and build up for MITB happens and it feels like 10x times :more exciting than what the Nexus had done the previous year...and WWE fukks it up in a worse way :dead: :snoop:

A real great would of kept your interest...lol. Bryan got pushed down with Kane and still won the main event of WM XXX. He was the changing point but injuries ended that and fans were rewarded with "The Big Dog"...lol

Lol...its like u people have amnesia..he was supposed to drop the belt to Bryan at Over The Limit 2012 but he didn't want to let a Bryan have that spot so he turned heel insteasd and that's why the reign was extended. It was all just a gimmick for Rock to get the belt. Just look at his challengers after the Bryan/AJ story...horrible.
