A bet of when you are going to knock someone out is a bet on yourself.
Fighters carrying other fighters is widely known about in boxing.
U cant
I tried to explain this to casuals. Boxing power is a different animal. Conor learned last night that MMA power is not boxing power in terms of giving and receiving. I mean c'mon, a 40 year old, rusty Floyd was visibly affecting Conor with JABS. Meanwhile, Floyd walked through Conor's hardest punches. I remember maybe three punches Conor landed that made Floyd pause in the entire fight.

Ever shake a boxers hand? You'll feel how much power these nikkas have just from that alone, even if they're little as fukk.
Stop it. Those were not his hardest punches. Imo, he needs to train with an actual boxing trainer and learn how to throw real punches amd incorporate that into his ufc gm

Name a top fighter at 154 that Floyd ever fought, without a catchweight?
Can't think of one can you?
This is besides the point. You're cosigning this thread saying that his skills have faded. Him not cleaning out the 54 division has nothing to do with his skills. He's not even a 54 fighter, he's too small. He's never even came in the ring at the 54 limit. He has taken certain big money fights at that weight...........because he can.

There is a reason for that. And there have been good Jr. MWs: Lara, Charlos, Trout, and Andrade to name a few. Never called our there names never tried to fight them and we know why.
Again, what's your point? He wasn't calling those guys out 5-10 years ago either because the reward of beating them didn't match or exceed the risk. This has nothing to do with skills and everything to do with size.

Floyd said it himself ringside on a Showtime card he was promoting that he doesn't want to fight actual boxers, he only wanted to fight McGregor.
You keep repeating this over and over as if it somehow proves your point that his skills have declined to the point that he can't compete with the best anymore and that's just stupid. He only wanted to fight mcgregor because the reward was much much higher than the risk and he couldn't turn down the pay-day. He wore the ski mask in the ring to signify how he was robbing the bank. Mcgregor was a money-grab.

Floyd knows he is at the point were against real high level boxers, with more athleticism and more energy he wouldn't be able to fight and fight how he wants to fight anymore. Which is why he retired and only came back for this ridiculous exhibition with a 300 mil payday
Again, I'm not arguing with the words you are putting in Floyd's mouth. This is you talking not Floyd. I don't agree with you. You sound silly.

Back on the topic, there's nothing in last night's fight that indicated that Floyd's skills have declined to the point that he wouldn't be a fav to beat everybody at 47-54.

Why the hell would floyd call out any of those fighters?
You sound irrational
The general public doesn't no who any of those guys are
Floyd fought cotto at 154 no catchweight btw
I literally said Floyd didn't fight any actual top 154 fighters and I named top 154 fighters during his activity.
You seem like you don't know boxing.
Cotto wasn't ever a top 154 fighter, he beat the 1 legged rabbi for a vacant title and fought no one of note until a floyd payday where he was beaten. Then he fought a legit 154 fighter in Trout and Trout beat him more decisively than fukking Floyd did.

Fight went exactly how I expected. Connor gonna get some style points and the commentators sucked his Mcdikk for show. But I knew Mayweather was gonna play with him then just tear his ass up liked child's play. I like how Mayweather did his thing.

Only a fool would say Connor had any chance whatsoever.

My comment about 154 was specifically to address your contention that Floyd could compete at 154, he can't and he never really has been able to compete at the top level of 154. So if you paid attention you would see I talked about 154 and 147.

My point isn't about him calling them out, its simply about him never fighting the top fighters at 154. Simple as that.

He can't compete with the best at 154, and he would have difficulty competting with the best at 147 due to youth and the skill level and his faded atheleticism and physicality.

If you are arguing with me you are arguing against what Floyd said himself, so either accept the truth or move on, no need crying to me about it.

I don't base anything off the fight last night, simply the age and time factor, he was declining in the Maidana fights and he was slower than I ever seen in the Berto fight, he hasn't gotten better since then and the division has improved talent wise.

This fight has reminded me why I don't talk to non boxing fans about boxing.
Connor does not get a moral victory. This is not Rocky 1 and MMA fans didn't give CM punk a moral victory award.
Floyd didn't call out Connor it was the other way around fueld by Dana White hypes like he always does. MMA wants the grander of boxing and its not going to get.
It wasn't close Floyd walked him down at 40 and out of retirement.

Connor came in heavier and younger and lost.

That said I hope more of these MMA dudes realize they are making very little for the danger they put themselves in.

Sweet Science all day
