:russ: Mir referencing "The Great White Hype".

Only weirdo MMA-only stans thought Conors power was magical. I dont think reality has hit for these guys Floyd did not respect his power at all hence why he fought the way he did.

Conor is due for a Ronda Rousey style expose session, its just gonna take the right guy to do it in MMA

And for some reason boxing media rather laugh that it didnt break the record instead of congratulating a remarkable feat.

:mjlol: I don't know why boxing fans always wanna have an elitist attitude about everything. "REAL members of the boxing community", huh? Please explain who that consist of? The reality is that all you herbs who claim to be "real" boxing fans had an option that night. A "real" boxing match took place that very night. Where was Fat Dan? :sas1:
What thread on here were YOU in?:sas1:
Where was every REAL BOXER from Spence, Garcia, Tyson, Holyfield, Sugar Ray, etc that night? :sas1:
Since Fat Dan is a representation of "REAL members of the boxing community" to you, count how many articles he's written about that other REAL fight that night versus this "exhibition". :sas2:
The sport took center stage and stopped the sports world and all you clowns can talk about is this "REAL" nonsense. The only common denominator in 5 out of 6 of Vegas' biggest gates is BOXING. And yet, you still find flaw in that........... as a member of the real boxing community.:beli:

The Truth
Breadman thinking the exact same thing I believe about the fight:

People became so invested in the fight when their own predictions or subjective preference didn’t happen they came up with conspiracy theories. For example people who thought McGregor would win say he took a dive. People who said McGregor wouldn’t land a punch, say Floyd let him. People who said Floyd would ko him within a couple of rounds, say Floyd carried him.

Until I see more proof I say Floyd took his time, broke him down, took him in deep water and drowned him. It’s exactly what he does in all of his fights.
Nah... Floyd toyed with him

Mcgregor was never a threat. He treated him like a child/amatuer

Now to all of you non boxing folks that don't know what happened that night but feel the need to tell those involved in the sport that Floyd is a bum. Here it is from the mouth of a VETERAN PRO BOXER Allan Green Allan Green 1 hr · Ok, about the fight. For people who dont understand boxing. What you saw was a 29 year old fighter who outweighed a 40 year old who hadnt fought in 2 years by about 20 pounds get walked through. What Floyd did was simple, he walked him down with a high guard, barley through any punches the first 3 rounds. He played chess with the young man. Connor didnt know any better and just kept throwing punches at Floyds guard which cast the illusion that he was doing well. Granted he landed some but guess what? He was never in the fight, the way Floyd did him was the way most pros spar with amateurs. We play with them, let them do their thing, smile at them (which Floyd did) and keep walking them down because we already know where its going. Connor just kept throwing punches and Floyd kept coming forward. Around the 5th round it turned into Connor throwing punches to keep Floyd off of him as opposed to initiating offense. As any boxer knows, when you start doing that its the beginning of the end. Connor didnt run out of gas, thats not how it works. Floyd ran him out of gas, Floyd drained him. By walking him down, touching his body and blocking his punches. He wanted to show Connor that he didnt have power by boxing standards. He got drained, he couldnt hurt Floyd, and eventually got walked through like wet paper. But people say Floyd was supposed to be the runner. Connor was the only one trying to stay away from Floyd. The pressure was too much for him. Thats why everytime Floyd got close he would grab Floyd hold on for dear life like a kid hugging his father. He had moments because Floyd allowed him to but ultimately ended up getting mauled. Battered helplessly on the ropes. Again, he didnt run out of gas. Floyd drained him.

Breadman went on and said the same thing Green did. Said that young fighters vs. older veteran sparring sessions are largely dependant on the number of rounds scheduled. In short rounds the younger athlete can get the upper hand, but in 8-12 round sessions the older veteran let's the younger guy burn himself out early and then dominates down the stretch.

Honestly when I sparred against a few pros they did the same shyt. I didn't realize it, but yeah... If it was a real fight/sparring match I would've got KO'd easily

Lol you a funny nikka. But the REAL reality is Floyd is only a draw when his opponent is a draw as well. His highest numbers are with ppl who were confirmed big draws themselves - Pacquiao, McGregor, De La Hoya, Canelo.

We all remember his Guerrero (870K), Berto (550K) and Maidana (900K & 925K for rematch) numbers, which were all below 1M buys. And let me be clear, those are still profitable numbers for Floyd, but SHO loss $ on those fights. So kudos to Floyd for getting the longer end of the stick in the deal (pause) and womp womp to SHO.

Showtime ate off this deal with Floyd. Floyd exceeded all estimations when the deal was brokered. Floyd was contracted up until the Berto fight. Showtime end of the deal was set when the Pac fight happened. Floyd just dumped another Pac style windfall in their lap on GP. Not to mention the stable Haymon brought over cause of Floyd. HBO clinging to GGG and Canelo.

That's not completely true bro. Recall, SHO was guaranteeing Mayweather $30 million for Guerrero, Berto, both Maidana fights. On top of that, Mayweather was getting $ off the back end from the gate, merchandising. SHO could only recoup off their percentage of the gate, merchandising but mainly off the PPV which they assumed would always be 1 million plus buys. So they loss $ on the Guerrero fight but then they broke even when Canelo happened. They then proceeded to lose $ on Maidana 1 & 2, but recouped with the Pacquiao fight. However they lost $ again on Berto. Overall, they made less than they expected initially. The huge success of Pacquiao fight saved them big time. But the true winner of the deal was Mayweather.

As long as they had the Pac fight, the deal made sense. The $100 price model for Pac and Conor all but recouped whatever "loses" they accrued. Not to mention they've all but become the home of boxing with HBO losing Top Rank. All of Al's fighters are on Showtime....more viewership and more money. That deal with Floyd was a steal really for Showtime. This is where you have to use a little common sense. If Floyd getting $300M off a fight, what do you think the network is getting? This the best move Showtime could have made for their network.
