Doesn't matter young people will see it as boxing being a boring sport compared to MMA and inferior. If conor can easily compete against Floyd in Boxing and Floyd probably gets tossed into tomorrow in MMA. MMA will be the cooler edgier more real sport.

Combat has evolved and this is a page turner
Never when they look at the dollar signs. People don't fight professionally for fun, dude.

McGregor got guaranteed $30M for one fight and it was 10x his largest purse in the UFC.

Even better is May controlled the narrative of that fight mostly.

I can't believe this breh went 10 rounds. First ever competitive boxing match:mjlol:

Because nerds like you don't know anything about sports

Floyd is 40 years old with a wrecked body, his hands are made of glass, he can't make 150 pounds lmao at the age of 40
and HE BULLIED a 29 year old guy who weighed 170

If he fought somebody his age Erroll Spence who is the current IBF welterweight champion and his peer, he would get destroyed in the 1st round

Dude is 40 years old and has brittle hands. Barely sppared for this fight so is hands wold be damaged coming in. Gave your boy the first 3 rounds and walked a so called puncher down. Had this been Errol Spence this wouldn't go past round 1. If a guy that could actually punch went to the UFC like Ray Mercer they always have a chance of winning, but you will never see that because boxers make more money.

Boxing is doing just fine it has a huge fight next month. What is the next big UFC fight?
They just lost their best fighter due to suspension.
Their biggest draw had to come to boxing to get his biggest payday.
Plus you have guys retiring early because they are barely getting pad.

Boxing is on the upside, with top fighters fighting on regular tv these days like in the past. Big fights have and are being made:

Floyd is 40 years old and can't even make 150

Mcgregor can't punch, Erroll Spence who is the guy you should be comparing him to because they are around the same age would body Conor Mcgregor in the octagon, in the street, in the goddamn matrix

Floyd even manhandled this guy in the clench, mcgregor ain't strong, he beats midgets in mma

Wouldn't go past the first round, It would be just as bad as CM punk stepping into the octagon. All respect to Floyd his name will resonate 50 years from now as another Rocky Marciano. He won't be considered the greatest but he will be up there as a fighter nobody could figure out.

However I feel this is a big moment for MMA. The fact that someone who has never boxed a professional bout was competitive and landed more shots than Manny Pac will tilt younger people who saw this fight towards following MMA more than boxing.

Floyd would likely get rag dolled in the UFC and its pretty obvious judging by how Conor was able to move him and toss him when locked up. None of Floyd's boxing defense would matter in a full fledged fight unless he literally runs away.

This is that moment that moves the needle for the UFC, you may not realize it but believe this is that moment.

R.I.P Boxing 1681-2017

Such delusional wishful and hopeful thought reeks of desperation for your sport.......:hhh:

Connor Mcgregor gettin punched in the face over and over again for eight rounds straight is a "needle mover" for the UFC sport......then that sport is truly full of losers:mjlol:

How bout stop depending on boxing to jump start that bar brawl bullshyt and invigorate the sport through that sport itself......:francis:

Not how it works, just can't bet against himself.
N1gga aint no casino letting a pro boxer walk in vs a novice and say here's 500k, Im gonna ko him in the 10th. And the fbi will most certainly be interested in that. Now if u bet on yourself to win is 1 thing, but thats different.

Fight was worth the watch

Connor to me could have kept goin the stop was too early

Now if that's boxing rules so be it but to me Floyd was landing punches but he wasn't gonna knock him out

It was Conner exhausted more than Floyd actually doing damage

But that's part of it can you make it 12 ends
I rewatched the fight sober
Floyd landed 13 clean punches in a row
Conor wasn't responding
The ropes were the only thing keeping him up
He was hurt and had no legs
Even Dana said it was a good stoppage
the guy was done, I don't know no why you want him to get brain damage

Conor did better than most expected. Granted, Floyd was also fighting a more aggressive style because he wanted to give fans the KO. He was more prone to getting hit.

This wasn't a joke fight. It was a legitimate fight that took technique and skill to win. It wasn't a clown show like most people had anticipated.

Like I said does anyone believe Floyd can compete for a whole round in MMA against Conor.

That tells me UFC is a more evolved superior combat sport and that's what young people will see as well.
