Thing is......

Nobody gives a fukk about MMA fighting....it's just a filler of time between major boxing events:francis:

But just for arguments sake....pretty sure Mcgregor would get knocked the fukk out in the Octagon too by a much more cautious Mayweather wearing virtually no gloves.......champ lumped that cacs eye up wit padded gloves.....imagine what the knuckles would do:mjlol:

(In hindsight T.I. would have gotten murdered by Floyd:wow:)

Not having the desire to compete doesn't equate to not having the ability. He still has the ability to beat everyone at 47&54 but his heart and mind isn't 100% committed anymore.

He's 40 so obviously he has declined some but you cats are going overboard. He's been passed his prime for years. The fight last night went exactly according to plan yet some people seem to think differently. That's my point here. I didn't see any erosion in skills.
He might have the mental skills and the mental aspect to beat anyone, physically he doesn't anymore, especially 154, where he has been very careful in who he has fought there since Oscar.

147 has some real monsters there and again he has said he wants noting to do with them and for good reason, he doesn't mentally want to do what it takes to win, and he knows he can't do it in his current state.

Bro Naseem said it best to B-hop. You don't did everything in the ring except lose ugly, you keep fighting and its going to happen, Floyd knows that.

Fight was worth the watch

Connor to me could have kept goin the stop was too early

Now if that's boxing rules so be it but to me Floyd was landing punches but he wasn't gonna knock him out

It was Conner exhausted more than Floyd actually doing damage

But that's part of it can you make it 12 ends
Breh stop. Floyd had two more minutes to go in the round. Conor was gonna end up on the canvas. He almost fell twice but managed to hold on. Some of y'all are delusional.

can anybody here actually believe or make a valid case that floyd can compete anywhere near the level in MMA that Conor competed against floyd in that boxing ring...

I highly doubt it, you all know it

Wouldn't go past the first round, It would be just as bad as CM punk stepping into the octagon. All respect to Floyd his name will resonate 50 years from now as another Rocky Marciano. He won't be considered the greatest but he will be up there as a fighter nobody could figure out.

However I feel this is a big moment for MMA. The fact that someone who has never boxed a professional bout was competitive and landed more shots than Manny Pac will tilt younger people who saw this fight towards following MMA more than boxing.

Floyd would likely get rag dolled in the UFC and its pretty obvious judging by how Conor was able to move him and toss him when locked up. None of Floyd's boxing defense would matter in a full fledged fight unless he literally runs away.

This is that moment that moves the needle for the UFC, you may not realize it but believe this is that moment.

Floyd doesn't have an amateur background in mma like the white boy does in boxing either dummy. Take the L with some dignity cracker.

McGregor got TKO'd. There is no ammo here. There is no moral victory in a TKO. McGregor looked decent in the context of being an MMA fighter. As a boxer, he looked fukking horrible. If any other boxer came out with that performance, no one would be giving him "credit".
Cut that out exactly why mma fans have bloviates mcgregor performance...Connor is a world class athlete brehs, that was significantly bigger n taller

Boxing fans wouldnt have liked had Paulie, Broner, or Berto been in there with Mcgregor.....Connor has more skills than some fighters lacing them up all there life, feints, pivots, shifts, pitty pat shots to break guard, a better jab than most these boxers parading around, understanding of height reach, distance, etc........

A man who can't stand up is incapable of defending himself, this is grounds for stopping a fight in boxing.
Add to that this was a exhibition with no title on the line and a man making his pro-debut, the ref did what they are trained to do

If it kept going Connor would have suffered brain damage. :camby:When you're eating unguarded shots like that and not returning, it's a sign that you've lost the capacity to fight.
