TLR, lets all watch and discuss the classic movie "Kids" together

[Monte Cristo]

I mean the kids are all 16-17, it's not like it's 13-14 year olds running around fukking and doing drugs. The lifestyle they live is nothing worse then what's widely glorified in rap. Weed, fukking, underage drinking and some street fights. I suppose the final scene is a bit worse but that's the point, it escalates until the kids young dumb fun becomes something much more dangerous. Some of the responses would make you think it's 14 year olds naked on screen but in reality it's probably stuff a lot of Coli nikkas did in high school.

Yeah, as I said sounds like Kidhulthood which was the British version of this movie it seems like

That movie had people committing suicide, people getting lit up, people getting stabbed, women getting smacked up by their mans, drug deals, robberies, gang beef, dudes impregnating women and dipping, etc. Everything

That shyt was too much. If this is anything like that than

No it's definitely not that bad. No suicides, only 1 fight and its where a grown man gets beat up by a pack of kids, no needle drugs are involved, no woman abuse, the robbery is just stealing beer from a gas station...

A very disturbing movie. Had me still thinking about it several weeks after I watched it. I will also say that its one of those movies you can only watch once.

That's how you know it's good. I don't always watch movies to put a smile on my face.

LoL, I casually knew the dark skinned kid that was shirtless on the couch near the end of the movie. I remember chopping it up with him one night and he was telling me about how he would pee the bed whenever he would spend the night with his girlfriend, but how she still loved him

I've seen it about 4 times now. It's definitely a movie you have to be in the right mind set for to watch

But like I said honestly no one would've cared about the film if the kids had been like literally 2 years older. None of the material (other then the last scene) was too edgy, it just shocked people seeing 16-17 year olds doing it....with some girls slightly younger then that.
