Yeah it is a movie I thought I liked until I watched it past the age of 25 . now I'm like this is too much....but it really does happen

Thought it was corny when I was young. Still think it's corny now that I'm old.

that movie doesnt truly represent nyc kid life.
that was them manhattan kids who lived in the city. different lifestyle for their 20 blokk radius compared to other boroughs,
only white trash kids were into that raver scene and taking E and getting their friends who were minorities involved.

thats manhattan white kids scene right there mixed with the skateboard kids who didnt give a fukk and only smoked blunts and huffed
them manhattan kids that would be clowned by the other kids from the other boroughs.

This movie is hailed as a classic but it's actually pretty terrible and gross.


Only thing it's good for is to Show it to your kids when they enter high school to scare them straight to use condoms

Larry Clark is a disgusting human being based on the movies he's made. he's obsessed with putting jailbait in sexual situations..

If you havent seen Ken Park...that shyt is like Kids on meth steroids...i dont wanna spoil it for anyone who hasnt seen it but its truly off the wall and some real moments go down in it

and of course theres Bully, i enjoy that one, but some of the visual elements are kind of disturbing when you remember its him.

Kids and Bully are cool. but Ken Park im kinda torn on that one...theres elements of it that i enjoy but thats like a JBO flick compared to Bully(TLR)

The exact reason i didn't see it til I was like 22. My older sisters saw it & I had to stay upstairs & watch Cartoon Network. But I think if kids (preteen)were to watch Kids it would make somewhat of an impact.

Sounds like the American version of Kiddulthood

I mean the kids are all 16-17, it's not like it's 13-14 year olds running around fukking and doing drugs. The lifestyle they live is nothing worse then what's widely glorified in rap. Weed, fukking, underage drinking and some street fights. I suppose the final scene is a bit worse but that's the point, it escalates until the kids young dumb fun becomes something much more dangerous. Some of the responses would make you think it's 14 year olds naked on screen but in reality it's probably stuff a lot of Coli nikkas did in high school.
