I was thinking about this whole thing last night while reading the thread, and ended up coming to the conclusion that the main event of any given WWE show isn't the last match.

It's watching a 70 year old rich White man battling against the inevitability of the future and the idea of progress.

Most of us are legacy fans - I get the idea that TSC brehs in general have been watching for anywhere from 10-25/30 years, so we've grown up in times of social and cultural change. Nothing as drastic as the Civil Rights Era, for example. but change nonetheless.

As Black fans there has been precious little for us to get behind, over the years. Crazy if you think about it. In most non scripted sports in America, there is a history of Black folks excelling. shyt - we even took over the exclusive 'country club' sports (Tennis and Golf).
Without Black people, the NBA is The Sprite Lay-Up competition and high and tight shorts. Boxing would be 'Cinderella Man' status. And all of those sports have some :mjpls:in some shape or form, in their front office.

I'm still :snoop:that he thought he could put together New Day as a cheerful Black 'face' faction at the time of the Ferguson Protests. But that's an L I'll have to hold, knowing his track record.:francis:

Even his thing about only really fukking with big wrestlers. They tried to lowball AJ. He travelled and made himself hot, and then I imagine they had to offer him some legit paper. The Indies are filled with smaller talents who are over as fukk, and sure the big guys are always going to be an attraction - but he's always behind the curve. Phil was right as fukk about that.
This whole thing with Titus is just the latest round in the bout. And Vince needed :damn:in his corner.

I genuinely hope Titus takes Batista up on his offer. He's doing mainstream TV within a day of his suspension starting. Looks like he's more of a draw outside the company, than they thought.

As much of a role model as Titus is in his personal life - leaving and succeeding after being treated in such a way by the company he goes out of his way for, would be just as, if not more inspirational to the people he's looking to reach.

TL; DR Watching Vince struggle against the weight of Popular Culture is often more entertaining than his booking. Titus is going to be fine - potentially even better - if he leaves.
:wow:

Dummies can't comprehend that tho

Funny shyt is i bet NONE of the same dummies who use that logic can a post where anyone says "I Hate WWE" by the ones they're telling not to watch.

It seems like people projecting their own personal conflicts on everyone else. Most of the people mocking us for still watching are just as active in the WWE related threads in this section. :mjlol:

"The suspension of Titus O'Neil had nothing to do with race and everything to do with unprofessional conduct," WWE told the Post in a statement. They added that Titus "acknowledged the gravity of his mistake" in a text message, writing:

"I feel like s--t now so if you have to let me go, I understand. Stupid mistake."

Ny post

So WWE releasing private text messages:pacspit:
That reminds me of

dropping the audio of Young Buck crying to him :smh:

If WWE dies, pro wrestling in America dies. The only reason indies exist is because WWE makes it a viable profession if you can get to that level. The second its gone, wrestling is dead in America. It's been the exclusive since the 80s, even when WCW was so hot, media would still talk about wrestling as WWF. And today, wrestling/WWE are interchangeable.

And worst of all, no companies treat their black wrestlers with respect. Even WCW and TNA, companies that had black world champions, had racist angles (the Harley/Simmons promos that were used again for Booker/HHH, Truth being ganged up on by NASCAR drivers who made fun of his hair/clothes/music in front of Southern crowds cheering like crazy for it). WCW was sued for racism at one point. Even a place like PWG has some very questionable names for teams and moves with black talents. Or take the black talents to Japan and see the racism that happens. Overt, crazy ass racism.

At least WWE pays them the most, I guess.

I guess cause it was a different era so maybe some people miss that, but I do find it peculiar that nobody ever calls Lex Luger a racist for what was basically the same exact storyline in 1991. He told Ron he could be his chauffeur, Harley tellin' him 'when I was champ, I had boys like you carryin' my bags!', they built up Ron as this tremendous competitor... and then at Halloween Havoc, Lex beat this nikka clean and Ron was busted back down the card until a year later. And sure, Ron won the belt from Vader later down the line... just like Booker won the same belt later down the line... but I remember it being a bit wild that they'd shyt on Ron to that degree and he would get no kind of payback out of it.

The alternatives are out there, it's up to the viewers to watch and support said alternatives though.

Exactly. The whole reason I stated watching TNA back in 2004 was because it was another alternative than WWE. It's how I found out about guys like AJ Styles (been a fan of his since then), Amazing Red, Jay Lethal, James Storm etc.

Y'all can do all the clapbacks and funny faces y'all want @mrken12, @Silkk... but it's true. It's damn true.

Watch all y'all clowns be up in the RAW thread givin' play-by-play like Michael Cole himself, then spend the rest of the week talkin' about how terrible they are. I can set my watch to it. Happens weekly.
