THERES NO WAY TIMBALAND PRODUCED "NO MORE PAIN".

timbaland aint built for a beat like that.

Timbaland's shyt dont knock like say, a DJ Toomp.

I'll take it a step further and say jermaine dupri>>>timbaland

:ld:

buckeye is my nicca for real. i'd run with this dude in real life, thats my word dunny.

yea. jermaine dupri is every bit as good and arguably better than timbaland. i prefer jermaine dupri in the long haul.

its just the cool thing to hate on jd on the internet. alot of these dudes have no clue how many huge stars owe alot to dupri.

I respect Timbaland for everything he's done for music but let's be real... he's just upset he's no longer relevant and nobody is coming to him for singles anymore. Hopefully JT's new album is nice but I can't sit here & take him serious when he talks about the industry needing more originality when the last single he produced is typical techno synth heavy foor on the floor with the "a$$ a$$ a$$" claps on every measure...

Timbaland - Hands In The Air ft. Ne-Yo - YouTube

Real original Tim... :rudy:

real talk, dude always whines about the state of hip-hop whenever hes in-between runs and not ringin bells. hes been doing this as far back as 2001.

the funny thing is, hes really an r&b producer. nobody cares what he has to say.

i agree tho.:ld:

It's easy to dis JD because while you can't discount that he's talented, he's never been a leader musically. He was always somebody that would come along when someone else brought in a new sound/style, and mimick it well. Track the movement:

Michael Bivins brings out Another Bad Creation, Naughty By Nature drops 'OPP' which blows them up damn near overnight = Kris Kross' "Jump"

Dre and Snoop drop the Chronic, gangsta rap becomes the big rage = the look and sound of Kris Kross, Da Brat, and XScape during '93-'95.

The Bad Boy sound blows up... rappers use 80s R&B/pop beats, singers use 80s rap beats, Puffy makes a rap album = JD's sound for his artists and others from '96-'98, then he drops an album of his own.. nikka wore the shiny suits and the whole shyt.

And that's just three examples. Outside of some of the R&B stuff, he's never really established his own sound. It's always been up under something else that was already poppin' at the time.

I remember when he wasn't getting any real work around 2004-05, which was ironically around the time Scott Storch left him for not giving him his credit for producing "Cry Me A River", he was on 106th & Park talking about how he is bored with the game & is thinking about retiring & looked at the crowd hoping to get some sympathy or some "please don't go" talk & they just sat there like the didn't care... :bryan:

Then he starts working with Danja around 2006 & had a nice run from then til' about 2009 which is ironically yet again when Danja left him & now that he wasn't able to recruit The Cataracts, Hit-Boy or Da Internz successfully he's crying again since he has nobody to mooch off of & take credit for... I see you my nikka... :comeon:

Jay-z and Jermaine Dupree had one of the best hustle party anthems of the 90's:

When i heard that isht for the first time i was like :ooh:
Timbo had some heat, but always contradicts himself! It's like one of them bytches with contractions! He think we owe him something, when we don't bang his latest "shyt"! Him and WILL, whataver da fuq he is, are just the worst HIPhOPCRITES.....:jawalrus:

LOL, Storch and Tim have worked together since "Cry Me A River", which Scott was credited as a co-producer on. They worked together on Brandy's 2004 album, Afrodisiac.

What's this about him recruiting The Cataracts, Hit-Boy and Da Internz? If he wanted to mooch off anybody, he has Ryan Tedder (OneRepublic) who has produced more hit songs than any of the producers you listed.

Good point, but I always felt that Xscape was modeled after Mary J Blige. JD admitted this on a Video Soul interview some time back.

And also R.O.C. was his own version of Jay.

Timbaland didn't produce "No More Pain", but the instruments in that track are his. He did he drum programming and the instruments. Listen to Jay's "Jigga What, Jigga Who" and there are similarities between "No More Pain" and that beat.

I think their sound might've been... but dude had them dressin' like a girl gang and rollin' in lowriders in their videos... :russ:

I think that was the funniest shyt with JD- cause I even recall him saying that he doesn't get respect as a Southern producer (this is back when the South was really startin' to blow with No Limit and Cash Money)... and I'm thinkin'... "nikka, maybe it's because in '93 you were from Atlanta ridin' lo-lo's and makin' knockoff Death Row tracks"

That Brandy track was done before Storch left... then picked up by Brandy later...

And Ryan Tedder is his own entity right now, dude ain't worried about Timbaland, lol...

Britney jumped Timbaland's ship for Dr. Luke just like a lot of people did... dude just isn't hot right now & the younger generation of producers are smarter then previous & aren't letting him "use" them... :lolbron:

That Brandy track was done sometime after "Cry Me A River", at least a year. She didn't just "pick" that track up as Timbaland crafted most of that album in the studio with Brandy.

Ryan Tedder has always been a solo producer aside from Tim remixing "Apologize", and "Marching On". Him and Tim also worked together on Chris Cornell's album. I was implying that since Ryan Tedder is one of Tim's artists, he could easily "mooch" off of him if he wanted to.

Britney didn't jump Tim's ship. She turned down working with team JT/Timbo/Danja in 2007 during Tim's run instead opting for just Danja's production and Keri Hilson & The Clutch's writing.

This younger generation also came up as co-producers or use co-producers themselves. Hit-Boy's biggest hit was a song he co-produced with Kanye and co. Mike Will has co-producers and has co-produced for other producers. So does T-Minus, 40, Boi-1da, Lex Luger, and several others.

In all honesty, most of these producers out here now "mooch" off of somebody. They either have co-producers or co-produce with more established producers.
