Legendary career from an all time great player. I knew this day was coming (and Duncan's body held up a lot longer than expected cause around 07/08 he looked bad out there but it was the knee the whole time) but I just wanted 1 more season from him. But the old warrior gave his all and his legacy and career is sparkling. His resume stacks up with anyone and with 5 rings he is in the ring with MJ Magic Bill Bird etc. Knock him for being boring but the man was consistent and you were guaranteed 50 plus wins with him every season. Enjoy that retirement Mr. Fundamentals.

Man, 2016 is on one, on so many levels.

Not much more to add to what's already been said. This dude embodied everything right and good about the game.

The NBA is going to look really weird this season.

If Tim played with Kobe on the same team, they'd would've probably have 10 rings apiece

Nobody would beat a team of Prime Duncan and Prime Kobe. Duncan's demeanor & skillset was perfect for a player of Kobe's demeanor & skill set...and vice versa.

From 1999-2014 (16 seasons), The Spurs or the Lakers appeared in the NBA Finals in 13 of those 16 seasons, and won 10 of those 13 Finals:wow:

:salute: to both of those men because they are retiring as the #1 PF & #2 SG of all-time..........and we got to watch them from beginning to end of their careers:ohlawd:

Respect to the legend Timmy Duncan! :salute:

There were other factors but the Spurs never missed the playoffs in the Tim Duncan era :wow:
