I can tell you don't have a clue about N.O. players being out here. That never happened with Dread heads being rounded up. All the killing they were doing was each other not Houston resident's. They carried the beef they had from there to here and was laying each other down.

When it came to his music having the streets on lock, that era of T.I. did in fact have the streets. He started losing that credibility when he dropped "Whatever You Like", "Live Your Life" and "Dead & Gone". Those were huge hit records, but he didn't have enough heat for the streets to balance it out. No solo Southern rapper did it to the degree that T.I. did it. Before Paper Trail, T.I. could drop "What You Know About That", "Shoulder Lean" with Dro, hop on a record that goes #1 like JT's "My Love", and then bring it all back with a single like "Top Back".

During that period, it was Wayne and Tip in every category. Jeezy was not viewed in the same light as those two. One of the stigmas attached to Jeezy is that he couldn't rap, and when he came out with TM101, he really wasn't all that concerned with the criticism that he wasn't a rapper. He went all out to justify it by dubbing himself a motivational speaker. T.I. and Wayne, regardless of how you feel about them, had respect as MC's.

Jeezy never had that balance of commercial and street that T.I. and Wayne did. There are no "What You Know About That" or "A Milli" to Jeezy's name (records that took off in the streets that went on to become huge commercial smashes).
