Nobody really knows how many people use these apps. It's an estimate. A lot of those accounts are bots or burner accounts, troll accounts, it's not all 'unique' users.

I don't think that Meta is depending on the IG/Porn stars in order for the transition to be successful. You say this as if people don't get censored on twitter these days too. You can make it a left vs right issue but that's the result of Elon actively pushing users away. From telling people how to vote, to harassing his ex employees and scientists, and now introducing a rate limit, it's just been a shyt show. The guy tanked the valuation by being hostile to advertisers and now can't afford to pay his google cloud bill.
