$141.08 is the lowest monthly plan in Kentucky, but I like my plan better so I am good.
what plan is this that you don't have to sign up for obamacare?

Maybe I misread and they meant $141.08 every 2 weeks to get to that magical $300 people keep talking about :comeon:
if you misread $141 every 2 weeks that's $285 genius...

can you afford an extra $141 every month?
can you afford $285 every month?

on top of all this employers will be adjust to obamacare and start cuttting ppls hours.

Edit:
$197.50 for a PPO Gold plan
$239.63 for a PPO Platinum plan

Where is the $300 premium? Some of you morons should be banned from this section permanently.
in my state it's $300.

moron.
you think kentucky represents the whole state...

the problem with you obama idiots is that you've turned to those same idiots that used to follow bush that one cannot reason with.

and so long as you have some idiotic admins backin your logic, or lack thereof, you feel comfortable being stupid.

I just dont understand how someone can sit here with a straight face and tell me any sort of government intervention is a bad thing. It defies logic. We might as well go back to a tribal system...wtf is the point of having a nation if you dont want some sort of government around to run it?

Its a really tough issue...

We have never had a free market, so there really is nothing to compare it too... same can be said for 'socialism'.

What we do have is a government track record so bad, only an intellectual could look at it and see good. :heh:
It amazes me how when these new plans to fix previous government plans come about, no mention is made of all the government programs we are still paying into, that just get swept underneath the latest and greatest plan.:skip:

:whoa:I'm not drawing an ideological line either, I'm asking, based off of the last 100+ of American government intervention in healthcare, what makes you so optimistic? :ld:
They are creating new programs every 10-20yrs to fix the previous plan...

If we are just looking at facts, throwing party lines out the window, governments track record is horrible... on both sides.

Fiscally? no its too late for that, Obamacare is rolling out whether I like it or not.

Is having the government not tell me what to buy and paying more better than having them force me to purchase something? yes IMHO. Not sure what kind of proof I can produce of that other than telling you.

I personally don't see $$$ as the only form of cost :yeshrug:
Proof of the ACA being worse...you know, those things called facts. Don't worry, I'll wait.

"I don't like the government telling me what to do.." is the best you could come up with?!

So what do you plan to do in regards to the government running your life and telling you how to spend your hard earned money? Surely you have a plan. I mean on the day you decided to wake up and pick one thing from the vast list of things your government demands of you, what followed had to be a historic plan of action.

I'm incredibly interested in seeing how much further you're going to continue to side step my original comment and your reply.

First of all math whiz, I was rounding up to $300. $141.08x2 is actually $282.16 last time I checked, so you might want to try a free online calculator the next time you attempt at correcting someone.

I am not talking about employers, stick to one part of the argument. I understand that you are trying to fill holes in your silly attempt to have people believe $300 is standard across the board, but it won't work when debating with me.

What state do you live in?

I wish people would stop likening the ACA to universal healthcare...this is a health insurance bill. Personally I find the idea of my existence as a living, breathing US citizen means I will now be forced under penalty of law to buy fukking private insurance to be a gross overreach on the part of the government but I am not surprised about the Supremes co-signing it because this court seems to be all about siding with any law that lines the pocket of big business and the insurance industry is one of the biggest around. The two things in the ACA that I actually like (the no pre-existing conditions rule and allowing parents to keep their kids on into their mid-20s) could have been done as signing statements to any number of bill that has come across the President's desk without turning into a giant pay day for the insurance industry.

And if you are gung-ho about signing up to get your government mandated private insurance you should be sure to get the answers to a few pertinent questions:
1.What will the deductibles be for your plan?
2. What is the max yearly payment for your plan?
3. Are prescriptions covered in your plan and by how much?
4. How many doctor visits per year are allowed in your plan?
5. How many doctors and hospitals are available in your plan's network?

The problem I think may happen with the ACA is that a lot of people will go for the cheapest option without doing their due diligence and then realize later that they have shytty health insurance that does not cover all of their needs and what will happen then is what has been happening for years with those folks with Medicade who have minimal network options and restrictive doctor visitation...namely they will just go to the emergency room as a means of getting regular care even if their problem is not an actual emergency.

The problem with your statement, is that too many people you are conflating socialized healthcare with universal healthcare. I have certain problems with the bill myself, but if your initial point is a semantics game then you're usually not in a good spot. Universal healthcare simply means healthcare for everyone in a society. So, if it achieves it's desired result, universal healthcare will occur. Second, it is a mix of socialized and private insurance. A big part of that involves modification to medicare. But that's another discussion.
