good movie overall but it hasnt aged well IMO....and i always hated the ending. i just dont think its realistic that the kid wouldve shot his brother at the damn school. may as well off yourself because there is no way to escape and get away with it. gangbangers are dumb, but not that stupid.

Why do u say it hasn't aged well. It looks like the present day, only difference is everyone isn't on their phone.

I fukked w this movie heavy when it was on cable rotation. Ed is kinda cartoonish with his lines saying the supremacist agenda, and Elliot Gould was pretty lame as the aw shucks let's feel sorry 4 him Jew. Vacation woman was weird in her role too. The friendship in jail was aigh, set u up for that ending. Sisco was aigh too.

Don't know why it didn't get an Oscar nomination. It's a classic and prolly a must see for today's society.

he sent out hate and violence and it came right back to him

Violence begets violence. They kill one of yours, you kill one of theirs and the cycle keeps repeating. The dinner scene with his pops shows he wasn't always racist. He was open to learning something different which is why he initially respected Sweeney.

His father starting talking about affirmative action and it caused a conflict within him. His father being gunned down in a black neighborhood was the catalyst to him becoming a skinhead. He changed his ways and chose a different path but another catalyst, (the death of his brother, again at the hands of a black person) set him back on that same path where he started.

His career was great at the beginning:

The People vs Larry Flynt
Fight Club
Primal Fear

But he fell off since then.
His acting is corny now.

He's been in good films but his acting hasn't been great.
