He definitely rhymed words that you wouldn't think of but he does.
I was bumping Bomb 1st the other day. When it got to that line:

I hit the scene
Nikkaz ducking from my guillotine stare
I'm right there;my every word
A fukking nightmare

:wow:

I had to pull off the road & put it in park for a sec.Got too hyped.I was scared it might lead to an aneurysm.Maybe I'm just a Stan, tho :mjcry:

Makes sense. Dude was a poet. Not the heavy metaphorical type lyricist, but Moreso poetical one.
Alot of Hip-Hop "critics" dismiss Pac's lyricism because he's not technical or metaphorical like Nas or Common, but Pac always poured his soul into his lyrics. His political beliefs, emotional fluency, charisma and poetry is reflective in his lyrics.

Against All Odds would still make me tear up a little bit.
He didn't get enough time to fight

Pac is a literal poet. He used poetry styles in his raps.

They say p*ssy and paper is poetry, power and pistols
Plotting on murdering motherfukkers 'fore they get you
Picturing pitiful punk nikkas copping pleas
Puffin' weed as I position myself to clock G's
My enemies scatter in suicidal situations
Never to witness the wicked shyt that they was facing
Pockets is packed with presidents, pursue your riches
Evading the player-hating tricks, while hitting switches
bytches is bad-mouth, 'cause brawling motherfukkers is bold
But charge them hoes, the game should be sold
I'm sick of psychotic society, somebody save me
Addicted to drama, so even mama couldn't raise me
Even the preacher and all my teachers couldn't reach me
I run in the streets and puffin' weed wit' my peeps
I'm ducking the cops, I hit the weed as I'm clutching my Glock
nikkas is hot when I hit the block, what if I die tonight?

^this is the perfect example. Man gtfoh

No pac is discredited.

From.having and showcasing mecca envy. While being a nyc mecca transplant to California.
Plus losing his way culturally to dismiss rhe core values of hiphop.
.one. being antigang. Anti- androgynous pagan, and anti violence to bboys and bgirls of the pillars of huphop.
the core values of the new school way of thought

I
To illustrate mecca envy.
To then downplay and downgrade in skill. To appease a commercial viacom meets warner bros meets interscope.
pop construct of a commercial sellout style gangsta rapper.
To erect a ruthless records runs the world based cast system. Built in misappropriation of hiphop.
In favor of prison industrial economy meets communication act ideals. Ushered in by Jerry seller's vigilante-ism. Meant to be divisive to American culture. Then supplanted and grafted.
on to black people purposefully.

The issue is emo fans conflating the narrative. Then speaking out of turn. While never being apart of hiphop.
or any pillar whatsoever.

Just to play selective reasoning. To play exception to the rules. To the core mores and violate the protection mechanism of hiphop culture.

Pac was definitely a lyricist. His main issue was that his subject matter was very repetitive. Which is why I could never rank him at the top level. But when he got in his bag he could spit some crazy shyt. His 3rd verse on "so many tears" is one of my favorite ever. If I had to choose one pac verse that fully incapsulated who he was, it's this one. Really breaks down beautifully all the pain and depression he was dealing with. Don't think pac ever wanted to live a long life. He knew how it was gonna end.

Now I'm lost and I'm weary, so many tears
I'm suicidal, so don't stand near me
My every move is a calculated step to bring me closer
To embrace an early death, now there's nothin' left
There was no mercy on the streets, I couldn't rest
I'm barely standin', bout to go to pieces, screamin', "peace"
And though my soul was deleted, I couldn't see it
I had my mind full of demons tryin' to break free
They planted seeds and they hatched, sparkin' the flame
Inside my brain like a match, such a dirty game
No memories, just a misery
Paintin' a picture of my enemies killin' me in my sleep
Will I survive til the mornin' to see the sun?
Please Lord, forgive me for my sins, 'cause here I come
