You don't have that person's contact info to reach them back?

I do actually in my work/professional e-mail account. I just called the representative from that company that sent me the initial e-mails about the position and left a message. Hopefully I receive a call back but I'm not banking on it.

patience

and yeah it could be your resume or cover letter breh.

My friend lost their job in january of this year, unemployment was going to run out, things got so bad they were applying to mcdonalds etc. and couldn't get a call back. I asked to send me their resume, went through it all and basically took the information i needed and did it all from scratch shoutout to @Sachs, Fifth Avenue

Anyways in 3 weeks, and applying to like 20 jobs a day using indeed I was able to land them nearly a 50k gig with benefits.

wouldnt hurt to send to @The Nigerian , as you may be overlooking a grammatical mistake or it could be to long or the words aren't catching the attention when they do their quick scan

all the best breh
breh land ME a job. its rough out here

Sorry you fail to the scams. I know a few online, freelance jobs you could do if you need to stay afloat. PM me and I'll send you the links and what not.

In the same boat. Been unemployed since April :snoop:

Had over ten interviews. Black mecca my ass. :childplease:

I've been noticing as a black male its getting tougher and tougher to find a job, I made a thread the other day there's only like 4 black males in my company of like 950 employees. And two are those uppity negros, then there is a dude in the male room that's cool, and then there is me.

Black women get hired easily so do other races, but black men? Nope

At the beginning of mean streets
You sound fairly young, so if you have no ties(kids, long-term gf/wife, people you have to take care of), I'd suggest looking all over country for openings(I heard the job market in Upsate NY is popping). Sure you may have to leave your home, but being broke and staying in a dry area is :scusthov:
That or teach English overseas.
NYC Housing is hiring, if you live there, you should easily get something with them
,

Ironically I did both fresh out of college on the job hunt.

But yeah, like others have suggested, indeed is great it tends to filter out the bullshyt better.

Dawg. At my last job, I was one of a handful black dudes there. I just watched as week by week the black women would get hired and move up the ranks and the black men just disappeared entirely. Either they wouldn't make the quota and got the boot(it was door by door sales) or the money just wasn't good enough to stay (it was commission).

I got discouraged. Everyone else atleast had 3-5 closes A DAY and I couldn't even get that in a week. I would go door to door (we had to go to 100 doors MINIMUM), in my suit looking dapper, put on my happy face, and say the same stuff everyone else was saying..only to have people too afraid to open the door to answer me or people attempting to call the cops on me.

Besides all of the fake people at that job, I wasn't even making money there. My bosses tried to play me and not pay me until I made a post about it on ripoffreport.com...it was only then that they paid me and that was already weeks after payday and after I quit.

use that affirmative action. I always hear cacs talking about 'he got that job because of AA' yet I rarely hear any blacks folks using it, 99% don't even know how too.

You should lead the way.

Whose the judge?

Myself. Really though, it used to look like trash. It was three pages, doublespaced, and was taken from an assignment I half-assed on as part of a class I had to take as a graduation requirement.

I followed some templates that I found online to use to revamp it and I have had more success with it than before. I've had more requests for interviews with my new resume than with my old one. I shortened it to one page and organized it to have more flow.

It still wouldn't hurt to have someone look at it. You're in college right? if so go to your career center at school and have them see it or ask a professor in your major.

What kind of jobs have you had in the past and what are you looking for now? You may want to try to start your own little something in the mean time. I can drop some ideas if you tell me what kind of job you're looking for.
