You probably seem like you dont give a F as you stated in your previous thread.

Perhaps friend, not giving a F is the key to being unemployed. Lets be happier and more enthusiastic so we can find jobs, friend.

Also, don't take the job hunt personally. Your looking for a shark to belly suck while you fund your own entrepreneurial pursuits. Once you get in, switch gears to getting as much as you can out of the job before you leave to find something better or to go full time on your own.

patience

and yeah it could be your resume or cover letter breh.

My friend lost their job in january of this year, unemployment was going to run out, things got so bad they were applying to mcdonalds etc. and couldn't get a call back. I asked to send me their resume, went through it all and basically took the information i needed and did it all from scratch shoutout to @Sachs, Fifth Avenue

Anyways in 3 weeks, and applying to like 20 jobs a day using indeed I was able to land them nearly a 50k gig with benefits.

wouldnt hurt to send to @The Nigerian , as you may be overlooking a grammatical mistake or it could be to long or the words aren't catching the attention when they do their quick scan

all the best breh

Yea, but why craiglist? Most of those listings are spam

That's what I'm thinking. There are legit jobs on there (all of my roommates current job's are from craigslist) but most of it just seems like they're spam listings or scam listings.

I've worked so many scam jobs that I found through craigslist and the internet, it just seems like I have a bad attraction to them;
- The "selling speakers from an unmarked white van" job
- Cutco/Vector Industries
- Selling timeshares via phone while asking for CC information over the phone and working for commission
- Trying to work a security job and paying out the ass for useless certifications only to have the company I work for completely dissappear the next week.
- Having "art collectors" who are magically out of town send me checks and asking for a difference back...
- Being "scouted" by a pay for play live booking company that didn't bother to pay me for playing for an hour...

And the best jobs I've had never paid...being a radio DJ for WRCT and WPTS fm in Pittsburgh.

Had an interview last week and I was told I got this job with a paralegal...and I was supposed to start today. Yet today, I have received no input via phone or internet from them.

Sorry for making a thread like this but I am so mad I could literally just break everything in my bedroom right now. It seems my roommates have no problems finding jobs with honest employers that won't jerk them, but everytime I find a job where I think it might be profitable/fruitful it just ends up being a) a scam (worked for a security company that promised work placement but only took $400 from me for three useless certifications, worked for a timeshare company answering phones and only made $240 total in comision) b) complete BS (I worked for a "marketing company" selling escos door to door only to get jerked by my bosses and had to fight it out with them just to get $220).

I've searched damn near everywhere for a job and no one wants to hire me. fukk! I hate this sh!t.

i know you gon be mad when i tell you this. :umad:

but you know im on jobseekers benefits in the uk. where i get paid to look and apply for jobs. well i filled in like half of this application (didnt put no cv, no references, no previous jobs). basically just put my name and address. and they gave me an interview :dead:

i was only applying so i could get my benefits :rudy:

That's really what I want to do. I just know all too well how bad it sucks to beg people for a job only for them to try to give me the run around or not even give me a chance. I just want to make enough so I can successfully get my skate/clothing brand off the ground...and then get to the point where I hire people that can provide a valuable asset to my company (that were more than likely in the same position as me).

I guess I can't help but take it personal though. Here I am at 29 and still haven't been able to find a serious job where I can make decent money, and most of my peers already have solid careers, have bought houses and cars and started families. They are there, while I'm here...at square one. I don't get discouraged though...I'm doing me.

Have you tried looking at city & federal positions?

I would also be wary of anything on Craigslist, Monster, Careerbuilder, etc. A lot of bs jobs are on those sites.

My best bet has always been to go directly to the company's website & apply through their. And you might have to network more, especially with people who are in the same fields as you. That's one thing I wish I would've done more of while I was in school.
