This generation is off to a ridiculously bad start (rant)

Everyone keeps saying this like it's some new undiscovered thought about the industry.

Must be at least 3 years now the imminent collapse has been predicted.

And yea big budget studios may go the wayside, but that doesn't mean games will stop.

I actually thoroughly enjoyed myself on PS4 and Vita all year, matter of fact I had too many fun games to play to even beat them all in that one year.

When medium to large budget console games go extinct I'll probably stop gaming. I'm not interested in free-to-play games, small scale low production indie titles and all that. The type of games people could play on tablets and cell phones. I want Final Fantasies, Mass Effects, Skyrims, Uncharteds, stuff like that. Not too long ago I tried to play that indie game Fez. I didn't lats 20 minutes playing it.

if you didn't make it out the first level, than you really didn't give the game a chance

I can see how the graphics might turn people off, but other than that the game is top-notch IMO. you have to look at the level/room and figure out a strategy. and if your strategy succeeds it feels very satisfying. you feel like the man when you bust in the room, knock one dude down with the door, pick up his bat, beat down the dude next to you, and then throw the bat across the room at another dude

What i dont like is that sometimes the enemies do random shyt that fukks up a good run. In one instance a room may have 2 enemies with a 3rd in an adjacent room behind a door, if you die then the next time you get to that room that 3rd enemy could have opened the door and be ready to kill you. You can walk a particular path and in one scenario an enemy with his back turned will notice you and in another scenario he wont. shyt is angering.
