Pretty good thread. The amount of issues with both consoles and the lack of games that appeal to me is big reason I haven't been in a hurry to jump to next gen.

This has been the sloppiest start of a gen I've seen in quite some time and there's really no reason to jump into current gen since last gen systems are getting just as many games than current gen systems this year alone.

Hell Rise of the Tomb Raider is still coming out for the 360 at the end of this year and that console will be 10 years old by then. The only games that stick around that long are fukking Fifa games.

i disagree...this has been one of the better starts to a gen...

gaming wise: there have been a bunch of fun games to play.....from f2p to indies to big budgets....and yea, there have been a lot of remakes, but at least they remaking good to great games for the most part; besides, those remakes are just taking the place of some bullshyt shovelware games that are typically thrown out there at the start of a gen just to have games out....if you cant find something to play, it's cause you dont want to....

tech wise: yea, it hasnt been the blow the doors off tech improvement, but it has been an improvement....everything from graphics to sound and everything inbetween has improved (i'm impressed with the sound improvements of this gen the most, these games sound amazing) cause of the tech...even missteps like the kinect 2 are a nice tech upgrade....ms just fukked up with how they forced it on people, but the tech itself is nice as shyt....

....what it sounds like to me is some of yall built up unrealistic expectations, and are upset companies havent met those expectations....like yall thought the start of this gen was gonna be equivalent to a gen in its 5th year.....no, it takes time to get to that place when the gen is blowing shyt outta the water.....ex: yall complaining about games being shipped unfinished, but it seems yall forgetting day 1 patches to games was happening like a muthafukka last gen......

I don't think the average gamer cares about 60fps. They'd rather see pretty graphics.

Most of these games on the ps4/x1 sacrifice fps for graphics. I think it's because it's what the people want (otherwise, why would they be doing it?)

I used to feel like that until i played TLOUR on PS4. I flipped on that 30 fps mode just to see wassup and that shyt seemed damn near broken compared to the normal 60 fps game. I dont see how yall suffered through that shyt on the PS3.

But back to the topic at hand, see the trick is you gotta get in the game late. I got plenty of shyt to play on PS4 and for cheap. The only game i see myself buying on day one is MKX. Other than that im not paying more than 35 bucks for a game this year. After i finish with TLOUR, i got DA:I, and Tomb Raider ready to go. Next time that LOTR Mordor and Wolfenstein are on sale im copping them too.

I'm aware, the guy that made this image probably made it to show you how there are GPUs that perform better than the PS4 but are a lot cheaper. I posted it posted it to demonstrate how the new consoles(with the PS4 being the best of the 3) compare with other GPUs. I certainly didn't expect the new gen consoles to be top-tier, I just expected better than what we're seeing now.

I sometimes wonder what games people have seen or played to be having such grandiose expectations. I certainly haven't played nor seen a game that rivals The Order for example on even PC. People often ignore the amazing looking games that has come out in exchange for being faux disappointed with some multiplatform games that's usually dumbed down or forced to have parity with last gen consoles or XB1.

$400 box giving offf visuals like this and cats claim they're disappointed?? Yeah okay.


At this point if this isn't impressive to someone then quite frankly I'm calling or they're just special snowflakes.
