I remember there was some website (might've been one of the Gawker ones) where they were saying that Revenge of The Nerds needed to have a trigger warning added to it about scenes of date rape because that one nerd banged the cheerleader while wearing her boyfriends costume.

That bytch couldn't tell the difference between a 100 pound nerd and a 200 pound football player on top of her?

I remember an episode of jerry springer when this dude revealed to his girlfriend that he has a twin and they would swap turns fukking her, thats how they managed long sessions.

Meanwhile the same people are currently defending wonder woman knowingly raping a man whose body was hijacked by her deceased boyfriend...

That's "woke" culture for you in a nutshell...anything done by heterosexual men is evil and toxic...but if its done by a woman, its "cute" and "emotional"...

honestly who gives a fukk. this some shyt cacs complain about

I'll take the dumb 10 second blurb over outright censorship any day

But there is outright censorship too. Huck Finn, Bless Me Ultima, and The Odyssey have all been banned by certain jurisdictions at some point or tried to be. We don't need a blurb to warn us about "out dated attitudes". And content creators don't need to comport with the attitudes of today- whatever those are.

Sure "warnings" about wrong-think are better than outright banning, but they're still wrong.

@itsyoung!! ....this has been going on for years, dawg.

Check this 2014 article about Amazon Prime placing the disclaimer on Tom & Jerry cartoons, which had some of the most racist images in cartoon history (the Black maid with the house shoes whose face they never showed comes to mind...I had no idea her name was "Mammy Two Shoes", though....that's bad ENOUGH on its own :rudy:).

Amazon Prime adds racism disclaimer to "Tom and Jerry" cartoons - CBS News
i dont watch cartoons, which are directed at a younger audience. This is a R rated movie from the 80s though. I basically only watch movies or shyt like flip or flop, it was my 1st time seeing the disclaimer.

They would both be locked up if they admitted that on a talk show today.

Context is everything. There’s a lot of comedy and shyt we watched that just doesn’t fly now. Just like there was shyt our parents watched that didn’t fly when we were kids. That’s life.

That said, there’s a sensitivity around now when portraying things the way they were. The Godfather has racial slurs because duh. Same with the sopranos or even westerns. Can’t ask for realism and criticize a movie for not being real but then clutch your pearls when they say shyt that’s 1000 percent true to the times.

Rush hour is a bunch of racial jokes. Nonstop lol. And that shyt either works for you now or it doesn’t

Yeah Louis doing what he did was foul. In the 80s, a lot of shyt that was laughed at in terms of men and women relationships wasn’t really funny at all

I never understood why people get mad at the racism in mob movies??

Like What do you think they were like???

People really want things sugar coated for them :snoop:

people really are surprised criminals brought together by the fact they commit crime & share ethnicities/race will be hostile towards others who are different

I mean aren't most gangs/mobs started in the first place due to threat of the community by outside parties :gucci:

and we get how many videos uploaded everyday of racist outbursts in public that show racist language in conversations where Black people aren't present to be quite realistic

in general I think this has to do with the education most are getting and a lack of developing critical thinking skills and the inability to go past the surface of a scene
