Let’s start with Predator. Besides the fact that it works as a satire of 80s action movies (the directors intention according to the commentary) it’s also a great action movie and a horror movie. Complete with top tier effects that still hold up today, quotes still used today and moments still referenced in other movies.
T2 is a landmark flick. Idk what else needs to be said about that. Comparing that to any marvel flick feels weird. And that’s not to say those aren’t worth talking about. They are. But not in the same breath as T2. Not from a performance standpoint, not from a technical standpoint, not from a writing standpoint. Cameron did the impossible.
