Let’s start with Predator. Besides the fact that it works as a satire of 80s action movies (the directors intention according to the commentary) it’s also a great action movie and a horror movie. Complete with top tier effects that still hold up today, quotes still used today and moments still referenced in other movies.

T2 is a landmark flick. Idk what else needs to be said about that. Comparing that to any marvel flick feels weird. And that’s not to say those aren’t worth talking about. They are. But not in the same breath as T2. Not from a performance standpoint, not from a technical standpoint, not from a writing standpoint. Cameron did the impossible.

FMJ is an action drama film, classic & released the same year as Predator. It makes perfect sense for inclusion

If you was really around at that time, you would see how much of a weird take you made. Predator is still loved & talked about. People still compare all the others that came after to the first

i just don’t get how this discussion got beyond one word replies.

Are they as good as terminator 2 or predator:

So one is even worth discussing, and i love no way home, homecoming, civil, black panther, and guardians one. They arent on par with either terminator two OR one, or predator whatsoever. They’re made better, theyre more entertaining, and have significantly memorable scenes.

FMJ is a War Drama, it portrays violence in a graphic realistic way. Action movies present the action happening as scientifically possible but not at all likely or realistic.
Please show me anyone classifying it as an action movie.

The fact you have to even reach to compare any MCU film to T2 rests it’s case.T2 is timeless. And will always be. Outside of perhaps infinity war and couple others. No one will be discussing MCU in 30 years.
And It’s true what another poster said. Predator being thrown in this mix is mad weird. It’s solid cult classic status but make no mistake Predator is NOT on any level where T2 or even T1 for that matter. This tweet must have been high bc the randomnesss of it all is just completely absurd. But here we all are like idiots acknowledging the stupidity of it anyway.
