This current Orton run has to be one of worst big time Vet runs in years.

orton is done. too old to be the effortlessly smooth in the ring as he once was. never had much of a personality so he cant cost on that like cena, show, henry, kane, goldust, and truth or any other vets currently still working. hel still go down as top 20 of all time but one more injury and its over
:mjlol: That padded resume isn't going to hype up his legacy as much as people think.

when i saw that table for 3 with him samartino and flair, i realized the company really looks at him as one of the best they ever created. character wise he hasnt been intersting since he handcuffed hhh to the ring. hes in a weird space of being a young vet, but as a performer cant deny hes one of the best workers.

The keyword is work. A lot of times he doesn't put much effort into his matches and his feuds. People who I consider great workers are people who can bring their A game to any situation regardless of circumstances. The last Orton matches that I really enjoyed were with Christian back in 2011. But like you said, the WWE machine will hype him up as an all-time great. :scust:

Yeah honestly that was last feud where he delivered with some good matches seemed like Christian made him give a fukk probably helped he pretty much went over time and time again.

It's concerning when you have Orton phoning it in at age 37.

Chris Jericho reinvented himself at age 37 with the suit gimmick, AJ Styles grew his hair out and turned into a loner type tweeter at age 35. The Rock turned into Hollywood Rock at age 30!.

We can go back longer than that, Hogan was 42 when he turned heel, Bret Hart was 39 when he started snapping.

Meanwhile, here's a guy in Randy Orton who has made no effort in trying to improve as a character and as a wrestler. At this point, he might as well consider retirement.

:listofjericho: happened at 46, Austin tried turning heel/corporate at 36, undertaker tried a whole new gimmick at 35, Kane dropped the mask at 36, and at 40-41 years old we saw Matt Hardy go from "the L's of Matt Hardy" to :broken:. Even more concerning is that for the most part it feels like Randy has phoned it in since dropping the big gold belt to Mark Henry in 2011 when he was 31. I can't recall them trying anything innovative with him and I can't recall him looking anything close to inspired at any point since then.

If it wasn't for the RKO he wouldn't be shyt.

Every spot is the worst execution of the move ever.

Sanjay duit literally gave this punk every great finish and how to do it and he sharked it every chance he got.
outside of his garbage ddp impersonation of rhe move.
Which, include swipes of the Kanyon innovation based workrate finishes too.

Orton is and always was trash.

If you want what orton would be like if he was good go watch the rainman.

Brock's run was entertaining. Don't do this. Orton's legitimately isn't wrestling watchable matches. Jinder's heat is carrying this whole feud. They need to switch to Jinder/Cena or Jinder/AJ ASAP.

The strap should have never been off aj to begin with.
This whole we contract owe orton a title reign bullshyt has ruined rhe wwe since Daniel bryan. Where we still are in exactly the exact same place we were in before Daniel bryan was not when the tag champ, all over again.
The same ol wwe reboot always goes in six weeks or six months back to hogun clique style booking.

Remember when they had Ziggler trying to push the Sleeper as a devastating move a couple years ago? Well Orton clearly been using the Sleeper too, cause sleep is the only thing I can think of during his feuds

That sleeper ziggler shyt and ziggler still sucks.

Ziggler been trash ever since Kofi exposed him back in 2010 on sd.

He's gone full "2000 Collecting Paychecks Kevin Nash".

Lemme stop you right there pal. If you're going to invoke my name in this discussion, at least put some context into it. If you were a vet in WCW in 2000 and hadn't gone full "collecting paychecks" mode, you were a fukking sucker. In 2000 alone, the belt was vacated half a dozen times and passed around like a groupie. Between the politics in the back and Russo throwing shyt against the wall to try to out-do WWF, every damn day was a 20 car pile up. Time Warner was paying me good money, and since they couldn't afford to let me show up on RAW with Scott (which we both asked several times to be let out of our contracts), I coasted like many of the vets did at the time.

There's a big difference between me coasting in WCW and what Orton is doing now.
